17th Squadron - Griffons
Founded in June 1956, the 17 Sqn of the Belgian Light Aviation was firstly based at Werl. It moved to Bierset in 1994 and to Beauvechain in 2010.
The 17Sqn flew with Piper and Alouette II and is nowadays operating the A109BAi. Instagram : 17sqngriffons

Our air force base opens its doors to you.🥳

Op 06 april organiseert de luchtmachtbasis van Beauvechain de Beauvechain Air Base Day 2022, of kortweg de BAB Day 22.
Het doel van dit evenement is om de verschillende eenheden van onze basis en de toestellen van onze Belgische Luchtmacht, met nadruk op de toestellen van onze vliegbasis (de A109 en NH90 helikopters en de SF260 Marchetti vliegtuigen), uitgebreid voor te stellen.

Le 06 avril 2022, la base aérienne de Beauvechain organisera le Beauvechain Air Base Day 2022, ou simplement le BAB Day 22.
Le but de cet événement est de présenter de manière détaillée les nombreuses unités spécifiques de notre base et des avions de notre Force Aérienne belge, avec bien sûr l’accent sur les avions de notre base aérienne (les hélicoptères A109 et NH90 et les avions SF260 Marchetti).
