I had the pleasure of painting this lovely layout from last week.
A top bloke is Stevie, a right laugh and good at his job and made sure I didn’t need for anything.

I love being the hired hand
It gives me leave to just switch off and do my job
No liaising with customers
No overheads
Just paint for money
A wonderfully simple transaction

Even better i get to paint with real, live, actual people which actually isn’t like work at all and quite rare as a signwriter.
There’s not that many of us

Working with other creatives is more like hanging out with mates who geek out at the same shizzzz you geek out at.
Don’t get me wrong, the work I do is achingly hard at times
I may be just slinging a bit of paint
But I find myself slinging paint where paint maybe shouldn’t be slung.
And I like to go ‘large’ or at least a challenge
As my dad used to say “ there’s only 26 letters in the alphabet, you may as well have fun with them”.
(He also said when he retired “ i never want to pick up a fu***ng brush ever again” 🤣)

Wrangling walls or lenticular surfaces ain’t easy
Both for my body and my mind
It’s easy to get things wrong if you switch off the noggin or relax a muscle at the wrong moment or even breathe at the wrong time
I guess that’s why I love it
It’s a combination of the mental, the physical and the creative
A healthy trinity
Made so much easier in company

Then you get paid

And people say ‘rad’

I’ll take it
But I’d rather share it ♥️

Oh Daddio!….a lady approached me today telling me she had a piece of dads work from her shop in the 80s.
It’s now her shed door

What a great day by the seaside with working for .huichol
It’s not often you have to walk across the beach to work and with lovely people to work for and with it couldn’t have been a better day. Thanks Jade, thanks Carla and Jamie 🙌
