Are you brilliant with volunteers and love what we do at Kids Kitchen? Based in Worcestershire? We are recruiting a hub coordinator for a brand new hub in Worcestershire supported by Wychavon District Council.
A strong knowledge of community activity and demographics in Pershore, Droitwich and Evesham will be essential and a real knack of getting the best out of, and enthusing, a group of volunteers, often remotely. You’ll also be pretty passionate about how simple and fun great from-scratch food can be!
The hub coordinator role will:
Support a team of trainees and volunteers
Organise local sessions and events
Communicate what’s going on to others
Connect with parents locally
Connect with other organisations locally
Develop new project opportunities
Develop new recipes and activities
Collect and record evidence of impact

Time running out , don’t forget to have your say :
The next stage for the SWDP proposals is submission to the Planning Inspectorate who will consider whether it is legally compliant and sound , deadline for submitting your comments , on line to www.swdevelopmentplan.org/review , is 23.59pm on 23 December .
The Droitwich Spa element of the plan, in particular the inclusion of the Hanbury Rd site, has been widely criticised by residents, Droitwich Spa Town Council, Droitwich Spa Civic Society and Hadzor Hall Residents Association.
Make sure you make your views and concerns known before the consultation ends at 23.59 pm on 23rd December.
South Worcestershire Development Plan This ‘Preferred Options’ consultation follows last year’s Issues and Options consultation document and it sets out the Councils’ draft policies and identifies the sites which the three Councils think should be developed for housing, employment and mixed uses. South Worcestershire Development Plan.
To all residents who attended Monday evenings SWDP Open Public Meeting at the Community Hall, thank you very much for giving up your time and the important points you raised with the Wychavon and Worcestershire County Council Officers present, the primary concerns were the need to improve infrastructure in the Droitwich area and the proposed 300 house development on Hanbury Road.
I can assure you that the Towns District counsellors have been campaigning vigorously over the past three years to see improvements in all areas of infrastructure, healthcare, education and highways ,whilst we have received assurances from the various agencies we have seen very little in the way of positive results, consequently our campaigning will continue .
The Hanbury Road site was of course not part of the SWDP presented for public scrutiny in November 2019, it is also contrary to a statement by Wychavon to the Droitwich District councillors that there would be no development to the East of the M5 Motorway. The case against the site is overwhelming, it is disconnected from the town by the M5 with only one point of access, Hanbury Rd/Hanbury Street are narrow and would require considerable investment, possible land acquisition, to bring it anywhere near an acceptable standard, all traffic will need to negotiate the Hanbury Street, Queens Street junction, whether travelling into town or on to A38 South M5 and Worcester, or A38 North to M5 or Bromsgrove. The difficulties this would cause would encourage traffic along very unsuitable roads such as Hadzor Lane. The land proposed for development is productive agricultural land which we can ill afford to loose. I have raised all of my concerns regarding the Hanbury Rd site with the, now departed, Director of Planning for Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils, unfortunately all to no avail.
I have certainly not given up and intend to continue to fight for a fairer and more appropriate housing target for Droitwich Spa.
Your continued support will be very much appreciated moving forward.
Best regards,
John
