Ok folks we’re now at Adelaide River Inn for 6 weeks playing every day! An hour south of Darwin. Stop in and have a dance and say hi. This place is lush!

Craft time at Daly Waters Pub with this lovely lady visiting - who happened to be legendary Aussie icon Billy Thorpe’s daughter! She said they were going to keep on going and not stay but she saw the 4pm ‘craft and sip’ everyday sign and decided to stay. A lovely afternoon talking craft and of course music!

Last night was our last stop before Daly Waters and what a beauty it was. After 95 hours in the car we took a long walk with the sun going down and an amazing water hole for a swim to finish off. Tonight and for another couple of months we’ll be singing our hearts out from 6pm at Daly Waters.

Having some fabulous shows at Big Winch 360 in Coober Pedy. Incredible sunsets each night, great food, people and a must stop over on your travels. We’re here for another couple weeks and then onto Daly Waters. What a life!

Day 4 and we’re on the big boat to Tasmania. Facing my big boat fear...Phil assures me the 200 meter long Spirit Of Tasmania is quite safe to compared to Captain Cook’s Endeavour which he says was 30 meter long. I believe him.

On another note, it’s safe to say Franklin loves our new drug dealer van. We love it too. Even though it’s a bit ugly...Certainly enjoying the various looks and comments we’re receiving 😂

Our last show at Daly Waters tonight. Lots of happy memories and new friends made. Feeling sad to leave. Lots of CDs sold and lots of tips in our guitar case! Extremely grateful to the Carters for the great opportunity - Tim Carters, Valerie Carter, Declan Carter and all of the staff that have looked after us and have been our Daly Waters family for 98 days. We love you! And thanks to everyone who sang along with us, danced, laughed and enjoyed our shows. As usual for me, it’s always the kids that bring me undone...from the 14 year old boy who wept when he came and told me how much he loved my song Cheers Barbara, the dozens of kids I convinced to “play dead” on the dance floor, to the gorgeous children who drew us pictures most nights and gave us the best tips in our case! 😉♥️

After being invited to play at a private party by some lovely folk that have seen us play at Daly Waters, I thought I should let you guys know that Phil and I do love to play private parties, house concerts etc!!... And of course we love to travel, so if you’ve got a special something coming up and you’d like us to play...we’d love to!!

We’re on our way out to Daly Waters again for the winter season. This time, not only do we have a different type of show - Australiana-we’re trialing for a month with our very special friend Rod Coe...but we also have a new member of the family! Woody! It’s fun stopping 800 times on the way out for little Woody... puppy love ❤️

Phil and I will be back at Daly Waters Pub NT this year from May 9th - August 31st. This year we’re doing two shows - Australiana, with special guest on double bass Rod Coe (Slim Dusty’s producer, bass player and musical director)from May 9th - June 9th and then Lou Bradley and Phil. Can’t wait!

This weeks song of the week is one that was written amidst the confusion of self reflection within a long term relationship. An emotion that’s hard to deny and can sometimes take hold, even if it is about the love of your life...for any long termers out there you’ll no doubt relate. The best moments on stage are made of this stuff... after our show at Daly Waters tonight, young Brooklyn handed me a drawing that she did on a serviette, of me singing. And look I was even lucky enough to finally have neat hair!! 💓
