⁣ ⁣According to European beauty standards I’ll never be beautiful.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
But here's the thing, I am an African queen 👸🏾 born with skin full of melanin, curves that hug my clothes, crowned with coily hair that refuses to conform to gravity.⠀

My beauty is that of an African. ⠀

⁣Rest chief!!⠀

I think its safe to say we all want to secure the bag and live the soft life, but that means we have to hustle a lot in the beginning.⠀

However, your hustle must never be in a way of your health. When you body can’t take it, rest cheif tomorrow is another day.⠀

Another day to work on your goals, another day to put the hustle hat on, but when your body and mind tell you it needs some rest, please do so. ⠀

Otherwise you will hustle all the days of your life and never get to enjoy the fruits of your labour.⠀

You have to find a balance between hustle and resting, that is called the Art if hustling...Lol 😂🤣😂 I am sure that’s not what it means but I am fitting here 😉.⠀

⁣African Beauty ⠀

For as long as I have lived our beauty has been defined using European beauty standards, which made us feel like we were not beautiful enough, don’t have the best hair, and our melanin was too much.⠀

I am happy that in this lifetime things are changing, we are starting to define our beauty based on us as African people. ⠀

We get to embrace our melanin and our kinky hair or no hair at all. Because we are beautiful, powerful, and descendants of Kings and Queens.⠀

How do you define your beauty?⠀

09/03/2021

⁣You really don’t need permission.⠀

A beautiful thing that has been happening is how young black woman are going for their dreams and pushing with everything they got.⠀

shifted from mining engineering to hair care, a career that is not encouraged and or valued by many. She did not wait for anyone’s permission to start working on her dreams. ⠀

You may have a dream that is not conventional and your parents or family members might not approve of, but you really do not need anyone’s permission.⠀

All it takes is a vision strong enough that you can’t ignore, people in our lives are able to tell when you are passionate about something and supporting you becomes easy. But if you are sceptical they will be on a fence about it too.⠀

Grab yourself a copy to Indoni Mag for R15 link on Bio, and read the full feature on Nelisiwe as she builds her empire.⠀

⁣How bad do you want it?⠀

Lets be honest, there are some dreams and visions we have for our lives but not all of the shake us to the core.⠀

Such visions are hard to ignore, the haunt you every single day. So the question you should ask yourself is how bad do you want it?⠀

Do you want it bad enough that you are willing to risk failure?⠀

Do you want it bad enough that you do not care if other see or believe in your vision?⠀

Do you want it bad enough that the thought of it scares you?⠀

How bad do you want it?⠀

⁣Dare to dream African child

When DJ Sbu wanted to be in the major retail shop everyone declined him because they did not see the vision. He did not let that discourage him, instead he went out an created his own market and look at where the brand is today, literally unstoppable.⠀

Point of the story is dare to dream and pursue that dream with everything in you. You will encounter a lot of no’s along the way but keep going. ⠀

Success is not about the end goal, its about falling many times and getting up again. Doors being shut on your face and knocking on another door, until you reach your breakthrough.⠀

So I say again, Dare to dream who shall stop you.⠀

African child it is possible. ⠀

⁣Claim your power⠀

In many times the thing holding us back to being our true self and being unapologetic about it, is us.⠀

The world already tell us so many things about how things should be or what is considered beautifully and not. But you should never live by those standards.⠀

This magazine is about Re-defining beautify which became clear that beauty is how you define it no one else. You choose how you see yourself.⠀

You are beautiful and you are a power house, claim your thrown and sit comfortably like a Queen 👸🏾 that you are.⠀

Truly enjoyed having on this issue because when I think of a woman claiming her thrown and sitting comfortably she comes to mind. Such a joy to watch and consume her content. You will also enjoy her interview inside the mag, such a beautiful soul.
