My Life through a lens

After being diagnosed with Crohns disease and Fibromyalgia in 2010, my life changed and I had to give up my career.

I am now in the process of creating a new normal and finding ways to help with my rehabilitation and adapt with my limitations. Through therapy I realised how much photography means to me and how I come alive behind a camera. My plan is to photograph beautiful places I visit, as well as things that mean something to me and share them on here. When I see a beautiful place on television or see somet

An amazing experience at Woburn Safari park feeding the big cats their breakfast and going right up to them in the Land Rover.

I had the amazing opportunity to visit Yang Guang at Edinburgh Zoo, My best friend organised the trip as a special 50th birthday present for me. I am so blessed to see him and capture some beautiful photographs before he goes back to China to retire. Definitely a memory to treasure.

In February we went to Norfolk, I wanted to see the seals in their natural habitat. I went on a boat trip to see them, I went on my own because I thought Callie would be too anxious, but the whole time I felt like Pop (my Grandad)was sat right next to me it was amazing to see and a special moment to capture. From a photographic point of view it was difficult because of the movement of the boat on the choppy sea, so a lot of my images are blurry but I did get a few I am happy with. I have since found out how you can see them without needing to go on a boat so will be going back in November in the hope to see some white fluffy pups as well.

My plan is to photograph beautiful places I visit, as well as things that mean something to me and share them on here. When I see a beautiful place on television or see something someone else has shared, or find something I want to photograph, I make arrangements to visit and capture these. I have started to create a list of places I want to visit and photograph and can't wait to share my journey with you.

Please feel free to suggest places.

As a child my favorite cuddly toy was a koala, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out Longleat had a baby Koala born in December 2022, Monty is the second baby koala born there. Longleat Safari Park are the only animal park/zoo to exhibit koalas in England, so I feel extremely lucky that I was able to go and spend some time with him and his family and capture some photos. To me it was a very special and emotional experience and I will definitely be going back soon.
