The most important thing to understand about fitness is that your body only improves it when it's forced to
It doesn't really care how you look in a bathing suit or how much you can bench or squat
All your body's resources are designed for survival above all else
That's why it's only by loading our body under more stress than it's used to that causes the wheels of adaptation to turn and our physiology to change in ways that lead to better health, fitness, and performance in the first place
A big part of this inherently means we have to put ourselves under stress that's uncomfortable, both mentally and physically, or we'll never adapt and improve
That's why if you're always looking for ways to avoid discomfort, inconvenience and the the physical and mental challenges that are a part of fitness, you're missing the point of how fitness works in the first place
The only way to learning how to deal with stress and discomfort is to go through it and come out the other side
Nobody every said fitness was supposed to be easy
Nobody ever said going to the gym and spending hours working out is convenient
Nobody ever said pushing your body beyond what it wants to do, physically and mentally, was going to be comfortable
If fitness was easy, everyone would be in great shape, but the vast majority of the world is not
Fitness means NOT following the path of least resistance and that's what makes it hard, but also why it's so rewarding
Our body likes to be comfortable, but comfort doesn't lead to change
That doesn't mean everything about fitness should suck, but it does mean that you have to have the right mindset and embrace the struggle or you'll never find long-term success and reach your goals
So when the things you need to do in your training or lifestyle is inconvenient, uncomfortable, or challenging, you can see use it as an excuse to avoid them...or as an opportunity to get better

Did you know that not only WHAT you eat but also WHEN you eat specific foods at specific times during the day, promote the effectivness and efficiency of your training resulting in your progression becoming increasingly profound??
Most people new to any kind of training lifestyle don't realize that RECOVERY is just as important as the training itself.
Without proper recovery you can burn out, lose motivation, injure yourself and not achieve your best results.
If you're feeling antsy while recovering, sit on the floor, throw on a movie and stretch. If you must work out, keep.your heart rate low and again, stretch as a majority of your workout.
