Happy World Photography Day 📸💦🌱
Throwback to one of the best sunsets I’ve witnessed to date. The best part? I went there totally unaware there was any chance of a good sunset and just so happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was totally worth dragging myself out even though I had been sick and not feeling well that day. That all changed once I saw the color kept getting better and better. 🤍
You may recognize this scene from an older post of mine. This photo, while extremely similar, was actually taken just a few short minutes before the sun dipped below the horizon entirely. While I loved the crazy color in that particular shot, I found I really enjoyed the last bit of light hitting Llao Rock in the background of this photo.
If you’ve yet to see Crater Lake during the winter months and don’t mind a ton of snow and cold weather, I highly recommend checking it out! There’s nowhere near as many people that you would normally see during the summer months. Makes it that much more enjoyable having such a beautiful place to yourself. Nothing like silence, snow and an amazing sunset!
It feels good to be lost in the right direction 🤍
Sometimes in life, we know the general direction that we want to take but we may not understand the direct path that we need to follow in order to get where we want to go. As long as you know that you are headed the right way, it is okay to be lost at times. Life should have some surprises and spontaneity. You should take some time and explore when you find you have lost your way. As long as you stay in the same direction, you may be pleasantly surprised at how everything turns out. -Unknown
Taken on my recent trip to Lost Lake, it felt amazing to be back out under the stars. This certainly wasn’t my first Milky Way trip of the season, but was one of my favorites so far!
Also, I’ve been really bad with doing any work to this page. I’ll definitely try and post more often on here!
