In the heart of Ada Agu Parish,
A light shines bright and bold,
A sacred space of devotion,
Where faith and love unfold.

With hearts full of joy and gratitude,
We gather to celebrate,
One year since the Dedication,
Of this church, our sacred fate.

We've prayed, we've sang, we've worshiped,
In this holy, hallowed place,
Reached out to our community,
With a message of love and grace.

In the shadow of the cross,
We've grown in our faith and trust,
Learned to follow in the footsteps,
Of our Lord, so kind and just.

The walls of this church may be brick,
But its foundation is made of love,
A rock that's steadfast and unshakeable,
Emblematic of the Lord above.

So as we mark this special day,
Let us pause and give thanks,
For the blessings that we've received,
And the unity that we've attained.

May the spirit of this church endure,
For many years to come,
A beacon of hope and faith,
Beneath heaven's infinite dome.

WELCOME TO LENTEN SEASON 2023

ASH WEDNESDAY
This is the beginning of another important season in the life of the mother church.
It is a day we are reminded that " we are dust and unto the dust we shall all return" this is simply the reason for the symbolic ashes, used to decorate our foreheads in today's liturgical celebrations.
It is what ushers us into the new and vital season of the Catholic church called LENTEN PERIOD/ SEASON.

WHAT IS THIS LENT ALL ABOUT.

It is a 40days Calvary journey with the Lord.
It is a period characterized by the following

1. Prayer

2. Fasting

3. Almsgiving

The Holy mother church emphasizes these three cardinal virtues during Lent.
Lent is a period of purification, mortification, re-dedication, sanctification, sacrifice, reconciliation and repentance.
Prophet Joel says "come back to the lord with all your hearts, seeking God with a broken heart". It is a 40days of spiritual journey of amendments, adjustment and reversal from bad to Good.
It is a long period of self introspection and reflection. It is also no doubt a period of spiritual revival, enrichment, endowment and empowerment for those who participates actively.
Wish you happy LENTEN PERIOD / SEASON and Spirit filled remarkable activities within this period.

Praise God. The D-day is here.

Dear parishioners, our team met with his Lordship, the Chief Sherperd of Nsukka Diocese Bishop Godfrey Igwebuike Onah and he has graciously approved September 24 and 25, 2022 for the Dedication of our Church. 24th is Pastoral while 25th is the Church Dedication Day. The ball is now in our Court. I urge all committees to brace up for the huge task. Congratulations to all of us in advance and special thanks to the team that met with his Lordship.
