I was sad to hear that Don Pullum passed away recently. Don meant so much to the Texas wine industry, and to Mason, Texas in particular.

I'm thankful to have had some time with him in October 2022 to record some of his reflections on his life in Texas wine.

Grape Growers Desperately Need You to Drink More Wine as They Grapple With a Glut of Uncontracted Grapes Declining demand for wine and an increase in imported wine means there's a glut of grapes this year, and it's so bad there's a surge in the amount of unharvested grapes that still don't have a home. Now, there are fears it could ultimately force more true family farmers out of business.
