The Eka festival is the brain child of dancer teacher Charles Ma(Director and founder of the Adishakti school of Bharatanatyam. This is the fourth chapter of the original festival with many other festivals inspired by the name.
'Eka' is one of the few art festivals that is honoured to present soloists in the margam format and believes in paying the performer.
The festival is run solely of the funds of the Adishakti school with no external sponsors.
This year we proudly present our Senior most student. Smt. Deepa Manohar(disciple of Guru Shri. Charles Ma and Dr. Soundarya Srivatsa)

Bharatnatyam Dancer Shatters Racial Stereotypes, One Dance at a Time! Growing up in a Tamil neighbourhood, he would walk into temples, speak, and eat, like everyone else. But he looked 'different' due to his mixed lineage. And he would only realise this when people around him stared at him long enough.
