Senora Collins has taught me many things, and her words, “If you can help, you should” come to mind as we wonder what our new normal is. I shared with my students the idea that we are being kind by following the rules for social distancing. If we think of our choices (or lack of choices) as acts of kindness rather than a punishment, it’s my belief that we will all benefit.
