-Expect each class to take approximately 1 hour.
-Classes are $50 (CASH ONLY) and that includes the cost of your broom.
-Friday/Saturday attendees will be required to also pay the $10 admission fee at the gate.

Build A Broom Classes with Mr. Joel Jernigan are back for a 2nd year! 🧹

Take advantage of this fun experience to make your own broom on the Rhea County Fair's antique broom maker. (Check out last year's Fair photo album!)

Sign-Ups will open at 12:00 P.M. Noon tomorrow (Saturday, July 20th) on Facebook and Instagram. The link can also be shared with those that do not partake in social media.

Some Rules and FAQs:

The Broom Shop will be closed this weekend but brooms will be available at the General store. Or stop by town hall and they can fix you up.

To all of my Male friends from 50 years and up... most of us are going through the next phase of our lives. We're at that age where we see more wrinkles, gray hair(whats left of it), and extra pounds. We have ran households, paid the bills, dealt with sickness, sadness, and everything else life has assigned us. We are survivors... we are warriors in the quiet(and sometimes not so quiet)... we are men ...like a classic car or a fine wine. Even if our bodies may not be what they once were, they carry our souls, our courage, and our strength. We shall all enter this chapter of our lives with humility, grace, and pride over everything we have been through, and we should never feel bad about getting older. It's a privilege that is denied to so many.
Guys. I challenge you to copy proudly with your picture and age.

You pick from natural or dyed broom straw and learn from a skilled Artisan how to make a broom. These classes will allow you to start that morning take a little break for drying time then return to finish.
Make and Take...the same day!
