I have been dying to set up my yard and add some fun lighting to create a beautiful vibe this summer. I highly recommend adding lights to your backyard space. Larry from ‘Larry-Lights’ was incredibly meticulous, measured each area, used wire and construction grade materials to enforce sturdy installation, & ensured these lights will hold up in uncertain weather. So excited for this dreamy coastal home to be complete! This custom build has such an incredible layout with a beautiful open kitchen concept to a naturally lit beautiful family room, with a wall of windows that will overlook a gorgeous built-in pool oasis. This is going to be the perfect place to raise a family and/or entertain a large group of friends for some Summer fun. ☀️💦🍉
I’m thrilled to have been a part of this process and believe me, no detail was overlooked! Stay tuned as the flooring and bathroom tile install is coming 🔜
Check out this before & after! This home had dated lighting from the “Tuscan Trend” which included scrolls, scrolls, and more scrolls!!! Needless to say, we removed all of those dated details including the ornate interior and exterior chandeliers. This beautiful two tiered lighting was installed and now illuminates this focal point the way it was intended, such a stunning look. We also brought the weathered doors back to life with a beautiful fresh coat of paint and now, the curb appeal is consistent with all of the beautiful updates we have created inside! This look is now complete with a beautiful new stairway runner too. At Decolux Designs-every detail is considered! Check it out below ⬇️
Some before & After shots of my Holmdel Project. New paint, stone around fire place, kitchen floors/surfaces, styling with fun accessories, and lots of changes all around! So much fun working on this 🤍
This was a very old home with plaster walls, it was dark and wasn’t functioning the way the family needed it to. Much of the budget went to all new windows and sliding doors, but the remaining efforts went into opening the wall from dining to living, painting, organizing, changing lights, and styling. Projects like these could go on and on, as I’m sure any homeowner can appreciate, so yes there is always more to do! I tell home owners to think long term and approach projects in phases if necessary. It takes time and a lot of cost to do renovations, particularly in old homes. My best advice is to have a plan before you start and stick to it the best you can to stay on time so the project doesn’t linger. You need to keep your contractor working through the finishing touches, so any delay from a client can result in workers moving on.
Before & After shots of my project
This one was a lot of fun! The client had installed this very funky black textured wall paper along their movie room wall & had owned a very large fish tank before calling me to help pull the look together. The family wanted a space to watch TV comfortably, but due to the width of the room and opening of stairs on both sides of entry, it presented a challenge for them on how to set up the space.
We decided to use the blank tall wall to add an interesting element by installing beautiful wood slats as the background for the TV and added a sleek shelf along with an art frame tv to give the look of a unique picture when it’s not in use. The area above the couch had enough space to put a beautiful seated bar where one could sit for schoolwork or an afternoon snack. To warm up the cool grey walls, we incorporated the softest cognac leather couch and layered it on top of a beautiful, yet pet friendly, Johnathan Adler rug. The final finishing touches include a unique round coffee table, custom neutral roman window shades, and accessories to style.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! Now, back to work and finally posting some before & after shots of this ongoing project. We are still waiting for a few finishing touches of hardware as well as the pot filler in the kitchen, so I will update again soon.
The client wanted a much more updated fresh look with adding modern touches & all new paint to the space.
We were able to repurpose the cabinets by removing the ornate traditional wood scroll details as well as remove the farmhouse legs from the island. This made a huge difference at very little cost. We then painted the cabinets two gorgeous colors, a creamy white and dark blue. We replaced the kitchen floors with a beautiful large porcelain tile designed with a subtle gold veining which compliments the brand new quartz countertops. As a cost savings tip, we serviced appliances that were in good working order and replaced what were necessary, such as the 6 burner Wolf Range and microwave, both suit the space much better for both form & function. Finally, we swapped out the old traditional lighting and changed hardware throughout the home.
Still a lot more to come! Stay tuned…

Subtle layers of mocha can be implemented in your space with adding fresh new pillow covers, a splash of art, soft knitted blankets, and beautiful custom window treatments. When updating a space for the Fall season, we often switch out these important elements to achieve the freshest looks, as seen with this updated modern farmhouse design by DecoLux Designs LLC.
Love Classic Coastal Designs, especially seen in beautiful Hampton’s style homes often located at the beach. The furniture colors here are neutral and paired with natural wood details and high performance fabrics. The fringe detailed umbrellas are my favorite, they add such an elegant touch to a gorgeous outdoor setting. Backyard space is definitely a place to curate the perfect entertaining vibe.
What does it take to design a home you love? All it takes is a well thought out plan with an educated and passionate professional. So, what are some of the things an interior designer can do for you?
1. Identify the project needs
2. Decide on style & color concepts
3. Measure and layout your design to scale
4. Source the perfect furniture, fabrics, lighting, accessories and more!
5. Complete the look with a styling session for a professional finish 🪄
Many clients are requesting dark, moody, and often sleek designs. Also, one of the hottest trends right now is to incorporate natural wood elements into your home. As a result, you’re seeing the combination of these concepts create the hottest looks of 2023. If you’re going for a dark & moody look, the addition of wood slats, as seen in this primary bathroom, help soften the style and tie the color & texture together between the floor and vanities. Whether you’re choosing molding, wood slats, special trim-work, or even textured wall coverings, these elements help complete a project for a professional look. Get your new look DecoLux Designs LLC

Color Consults Choosing paint colors can be a challenging task for anyone considering a renovation.
