Once you used to fly and soar so eloquently. Darling ones, when did you lose your wings. The hunger in your soul, the hope in your heart. Your ever so gentle touch, your ability to find silver linings. I see you walking along, aimless and vacant. And how I wish, you can remember that whimsical aura that left so many spellbound. Is it when the stories turned to lies, and all that mattered was not as it seemed. My loves put some words on a blank page. Write a new and beautiful story, where you shall take flight higher than ever before

Jess’s poems

Part of me:

I’m clinging for dear life,
To the hand over the cliff,
I don't want to see her fall,
I want to see her live.

The heat between our palms,
Burning up into my veins,
I’m holding on so tightly,
A part of me to save.

A knowing smile shows on her face,
Then she so sweetly says,

“You need to let me go,
To grow strong you need more space.”

It took years of holding on,
Through the wind and through the rain,
Through the burning summer sun,
Through the winter snow that lay.

But that part of me was exhausted,
She begged me to let go,
So she could move onto the past,
So a future I could grow.

A tear fell from my face,
As she slipped slowly from my hand,
I know that we will meet again,
In the future that we planned.

May your feet travel you far, may your spirit keep lifting higher. I hope your eyes shall not be clouded by sadness alone. But shall find joy in the most unexpected places. Where souls matter, and fretting those small things is of no importance. We tend to focus too much on the obstacles, and not on the lessons of our journey. I hope you shall find a bit still in your mind. To grasp the wonder of you, the wonderment you can still create. And the greatness of your victories, may you walk firm, yet always gracious

The World According to Dixie M’Lynn

Daisy

i am a daisy growing wild
reaching towards blue powdered sky
i anchor roots in common ground
weeds or clover, i find a home

summer meadow and mountain top
i am a daisy growing wild
weave me in chains and wear my love
behold my splendor as your crown

i’m beauty in its simplest form
i am romance and poetry
i am a daisy growing wild
and i am anxious for the spring

i stay the wind of seasoned storms
i hold my own when raindrops call
wildflowers care not where we bloom
i am a daisy growing wild
