I once heard it said that “our feelings are real but they are not reliable.” I have seemed to face so many unnecessary battles because of my in ability to not lean so heavily on my feelings and opinions. See because when you are faced with trials of various kinds the Lord will fight for you. Our job is to remain still and wait for Him. While at times, I have failed to this very thing. Going with my human nature and taking my opinions and feelings and trying to fight my battles alone. We are not meant to face life alone. Wait on the Lord. He will fight our battles. The battle belongs to the Lord.

Happy Easter, He is risen. ✝️
I have often and am still challenged to apply this event to my daily life. While yes we celebrate this once a year it is this challenge every day for us to remember it. Today I after reflecting on it I was left feeling unworthy. I have come to understand that's just it, I'm not worthy. Jesus paid the price on the cross and now that same power that rose him from the dead lives in us. That's Grace and true Love. So what will we do with it? I'm reminded of what Jesus said to Peter,
'When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” '
John 21:15

I felt God asking me that same question, Do you Love me? So now how will we feed His sheep?

God don’t let my mind begin to think about the what if’s and the if only’s. When we begin to think about the what if’s we most likely dwell on the potential possibilities of something bad that might happen. Then when we dice on the if only, we think about the bad things that have already come to past. Today God help us to focus on peace. God grant us peace that surpasses understanding.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When finding contentment in life we must know it is not found in this world, but it is found in God. We will try and try to fill that void in our life with other things, but eventually, we will not be satisfied or things can change. God however does not change. The secret to finding contentment is found in a relationship with God. So in whatever circumstances we face we are content in our identity in Christ and we are able to do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

'I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself. I know how to make do with little, and I know how to make do with a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content — whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me. ' Philippians 4:11-13

When you feel like giving up when you feel surrounded on every side. When the lies of the enemy have dwelt on so much in your mind. When the enemy whispers to you that you aren't good enough. You can come to realize that is just it. You are a sinner in need of a savior. When sin abounds grace abounds. While His Grace is not meant to be abused, however, we need to humble ourselves and change our attitude and focus to accept it. His Grace is sufficient for me and sufficient for you. So notice you are not good enough without a savior. Notice your need for Jesus. So whatever situation you are facing, whatever weakness know that God's power can be perfected in your weakness.

'But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. '

2 Corinthians 12:9

'Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. '

Romans 5:19-20

So often in this life, we might find ourselves in a place of conforming. That might be when you hang around certain people. At times it may be hard, to transform and be different. It's the thing we must do. I think back to the story of Joesph and how He did the right thing when Potiphar's wife accused him of sexual allegations when they weren't true. Could you imagine if Joseph would have conformed when Potiphar's wife tried to convince him to do that? But no Joseph did not conform he stuck in trusting in God and being transformed. Now Joseph did end up in jail, but that lead him to bigger and better things when he was able to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh. So when you feel like conforming don't choose to do the right thing even when nobody, but God is watching.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 ESV

Are you struggling with something? Instead of dwelling on this problem, you should go to God with this struggle. Ask God for wisdom in the situation you are facing. Write down the prayer on a piece of notebook paper and if you find yourself worried or anxious think back to the prayer. The next thing you should do is search the scriptures and remember what good things God has done for you.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5 NIV

Facing the challenges in life can be hard, but when we go to God and become dependent on him like a child there is freedom in that. So when you don't know what to say just trust Him at that moment and rest knowing that the God of the universe will take care of you.

Jesus said in Matthew, 'And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ' Matthew 18:3

I encourage you to look into God's word today and become more dependent on Him than you are on this world.

An unshakable foundation is a life devoted and built on the word of God. Here is a quote by Micah Korhorn that really expresses that. God is the only secure thing he doesn't change.

'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. '
Hebrews 13:8

Welcome to the Redemption podcast.
The inspiration of this podcast was created to provide a God-centered conversation to encourage people in our generation as well as help them to dig deep and press into a relationship with God. We hope to encourage you to look into the word and study it for yourself. In this present day, it may feel as if we are surrounded by the lies of this world. We hope to empower you in Christ to believe that our chains are broken and he has and can redeem us. The word redemption originates from the Latin word redimere which means to buyback. That's what Christ did for us, He bought us back. So then we must now know that our value is determined by the price that was paid for us. Jesus paid that price, our value is in Him.
We are looking forward to the episodes ahead of us. Thank you for your support. continue to join just two guys talking about Jesus and life.
