St. Mary’s LGBTQ+ Student Services, STARS and Transgenda stand with our black siblings as they continue protests all across the country making their voices heard and demanding that a change be made. We specifically stand with the black trans women that are disproportionately targeted. The fact of the matter is that the LGBTQ+ Movement would not be what it is today without BIPOC activists including but not limited to Marsha P. Johnson, Stormé DeLarverie, Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, Miss Major, Janet Mock, Laverne Cox and countless others. At St. Mary’s LGBTQ+ Student Services, we promise to acknowledge and confront any racial biases or prejudices that we may hold, create a more inclusive environment for all of our students, develop and execute all of our events through an intersectional lens and most importantly amplify black voices. We promise to always reflect on and include intersectionality in our work to the fullest extent. And we will always say their names:
Nina Pop
Tony McDade
Dominique Rem’mie Fells
Riah Milton
We not only hope for a change to be made, but we will be the change.
Black Lives Matter
This month and every second of everyday we stand with and for our black brothers, sisters and siblings. Please remember, that the movement was started by trans women of color, most notably Marsha P. Johnson. They are the reason we have the beautiful movement that we do today. To all the protestors, we see you and stand with you. Please don’t forget what Pride is really about. Happy Pride Month, call out injustice and spread the love. MATTER

Fact: Lung Cancer disproportionately affects the LGBTQ+ Community. People in the community are also 2x more likely to smoke ci******es, than those that are not in the community. This is largely because big business cigarette companies advertise there products specifically towards the community. This needs to stop. Raise awareness with us!
NEW STICKERS!!! 😱😱😱
