Meet Eevee.

She came to us in a season of loss. We had a gutter cat that started hanging around & we found out she was pregnant. So we fed her and decided we were going to be there when she had the babies.

Eventually she did, in a neighbors attic, and when I went to get the kittens, Meg (the mama) would only come to me.

We got her out of the attic, into our laundry room and she stayed there for the next 8 weeks. During that time we lost our family dog of 15yrs and her kittens filled a place in our hearts we needed so badly to be filled, but didn’t realize.

Believe it or not, she was the runt. She was always so much smaller than the others and we always worried she wouldn’t make it… until she did. Now. She’s our biggest cat and we tease she looks like a seal 😂♥️

God works in amazing ways and knows what we need even before we realize it. She’s our miracle baby & has helped us love and laugh again with our furbabies. She helped us move on from the loss.

We got her Mama fixed, rehomed her with a friend (from Arkansas to New York!), we kept 2 of her kittens and rehomed the other to a boy in our neighborhood. His mom and dad gave the kitten to him as a birthday present.

God is so good and I’ve learned to look for Him in the most unlikely places. ♥️

Started today off playing at the park with the babies!
HIGHLY recommend a job where you can do weekday morning playdates anytime you want. It’s good for the soul 🥰

Why 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆?
I used to wonder why they called it this too if it was the day Jesus was killed…..

He gave His life in place of ours.

He was falsely accused & rejected & beaten by those He came to save, yet He 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 selflessly gave His life.

….. Friday was dark, but Sunday was coming…..

He built a bridge with His sacrifice, between imperfect Man (you & me) ➡️ TO a perfect God.

Now, when We accept this truth that He is who He said He is, we are made perfect in God’s eyes, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 receive His spirit. This does not make us gods. It makes us children, heirs to the throne.

This acceptance also gives you a Comforter while you are walking this imperfect earth & an assurance that you will be with Him in Paradise, Heaven, when your days are over.

We all come to the end, that’s just a part of being a human. Those that love Christ & believe in His Name, WILL BE SAVED.

There are no perfect Christians or perfect Humans and you do not have to have it all together to approach His throne & ask for what He freely gives as a GIFT to you.

You are uniquely different from anyone else on this planet, yet all the labels we give ourselves, Jesus doesn’t identify us by race, born gender, self identified gender or actions. He sees beyond that to your Soul & He is longing to give you a new label today- CHILD OF THE KING 👑♥️

Good Friday may have been the darkest day for humanity but it held 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 to everything.

Anyone else have blankets their grandparents made decades ago and they’re still your favorite blanket!? They’re torn and tattered and have holes all through them, but something about it & the material is just different. It feels softer than anything we have now & it just makes me feel calm being wrapped up in it. I actually have another one too from 1987 (my name & the year is actually sewn into a square of it!) I distinctly remember getting it for Christmas. My brothers got one too. They were wrapped in HUGE boxes, so obviously I wanted to open that one first. When I did I was upset it was a 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚊 𝚋𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚎𝚝 and not some big glamorous toy. But today, when I wrap up in it I’m so thankful it was just a blanket.

I was blessed enough to have grandparents that were present, loving, thoughtful and they’re some of the biggest & best childhood memories I have. It’s the old saying, 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞'𝚟𝚎 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚗𝚎.

I speak frequent emoji 🫠😂. I love a good girls brunch date or dinner out. I have a few local friends on call for anytime we wanna pop a bottle or just need to fill our love tanks & catch up.

I met my husband in a parking lot hanging out with mutual friends. Later we worked together at a bowling alley, where I worked the snack bar and served him a chicken sandwich with a surprise….. one of my long hairs in it 😂🫥🫣🤣 (sorry babe). We bought a house, started raising kids & have been together 27 years! Some days when I say that & think of our life together it’s even hard for me to believe it!! One of my favorite things in life is being able to use our experiences (good & painful) as a couple to help others overcome hard times they face, give perspective or just give them hope in their relationships.

We have 3 kiddos that are SO uniquely different! That’s helped me not only to grow as a Mom, but as a person in general. As they’ve grown we realized that each kid requires a different kind of affection, pace & ultimately they have made me a better & more rounded person. As they grow, so do I.

We also have 2 grands so now we’re honorably called “Honey & Pops”. Believe me when I say, it’s the sweetest name you’ll ever hear when it’s uttered by them 🥰🥰🥰

My goal here is to build a community where all people feel loved, feel safe to let their guard down, take off the mask and just feel loved, accepted, seen, encouraged & laugh with me along the way.

I was Louisiana born and Arkansas raised. I was saved by Jesus when I was just 6yo with my Pastor & Mom sitting on each side of the tiny table we were at. I even remember the chair was just my size. I remember laughing and just feeling joy. That was the day I was saved, but the Summer that me and my husband officially (& very painfully) separated was when I realized fully who my Savior was.

Ive lived & breathed Corporate America for over 20 years and loved …eh ..90% of it 😆. I clearly remember being in a meeting one day with our new VP & other leaders and all the while nodding my head, I was quietly praying …”God is this it??” A switch just flipped. That day I walked out of the building, still employed, but knowing fully that I was called to something different, to be different. I would stay for another year, then our department was restructured and I was let go for the 3rd time ….and I never looked back. It was then I was introduced to the world of entrepreneurship & being present for my family & I’ve just let it unfold since. It’s also allowed me to meet so many beautiful people & friends all over the world. The seed had been planted!

I proudly wear the badge of Furmama, mainly from the fur that sticks to my leggings. I LOVE my babies fiercely. My kids would say sometimes more than them….. but that’s not true🥹🙃 My dream is to have chickens & baby goats one day too on some land.

As a teen I was once escorted to school by a Police Officer & I still remember his name, how white his hair was and how he said my name when he met me at my garage door that day.

I have zero tattoos, but believe me I’ve pinned a few on Pinterest 🤣

I’ve never had any cosmetic surgery or procedures & not sure I ever will 🤔🤔

Clutter gives me anxiety

I love aesthetically pleasing homes but have yet to live in one😂

I love decorating my house seasonally, especially my Mamaw’s buffet I inherited!

I’ve always struggled with my weight thinking it somehow identifies my worth- but I’m overcoming that every single day 🧡

Music is my love language but oddly concerts aren’t my favorite.

I love to laugh & make people laugh, almost more than anything else in this world & if we’re connected I hope you can appreciate my humor🙃🫶🏼

Most days my hair is in a messy bun (& not the pretty kind), I’m wearing leggings and my favorite sweatshirt.

My fave thing to do every night is to take a hot shower then crawl into my cozy bed and just wait for my dogs to disobey me and jump up onto the foot of it.
