HUGE thank you to Carol and Yves for their incredible PDU toy fundraiser donation!! The kids are going to be so excited to receive these!
Thank you to Avery and family for your donation! 💕
Thank you Cheryl Demarke for your donation to the Peds Day Unit toy fundraiser!
Urijah’s next fundraiser is for the Pediatric Day Unit.
This is where he’s had all of his lumbar punctures done …. Over 20 I’ve nearly lost count. These nurses on this unit are some of the best of the best! They put their heart and soul into comforting and caring for all Manitoban children who need a day surgery/ procedure done.
Up on PDU they have a toy cart. The nurse will bring it in shortly before sedation to help ease the anxiety, stress and fear the kids are feeling before they go through things kids should never have to go through.
This toy cart makes a tremendous difference in the way Urijah has handled sedation as well as having something to look forward to when he wakes up.
Urijah is asking for toy cart donations for the PDU floor. Toys range in price from $1.00 to $10.00
They aren’t extravagant or expensive in reality, but in the heart of these kids they most definitely are!
Not only do cancer kids go to PDU but many many others. They help kids with diabetes, respiratory issues, and much more. You never know if you or someone you know directly may need to visit this unit. Urijahs next (and final!!) PDU appointment is on February 17th and he’s hoping to be able to deliver 50 toys to help fill up the toy cart bins. Can you help Urijah to reach his goal and help the Peds Day Unit and all the kids who need to visit and undergo procedures??
On October 25th Urijah was able to donate nearly 300 boxes of bandaids and $280 cash to CancerCare MB’s Peds Oncology Unit! We cannot thank you all enough for helping to make his goal a reality!
Absolutely incredible donation this afternoon from the amazing Julie Huska and family, and Nathan Friesen! Thank you so so much Julie for all that you do!!
Urijah counted 115 bandaids to add to the Cancercare donation being made this month on the 25th!
We appreciate you so much more than you know! 💕
Keep your eyes peeled Urijah’s got something exciting up his sleeve to reach out to even more families! Update coming soon!
Welcome to Urijah’s Bandaids for the BRAVE page! Urijah was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia on November 5th,2018. Through all his years of treatment he’s watched so many Manitoban kids/ teens go through so much and now that he’s nearing the end of treatment he wants to give back.
This page will be dedicated to various fundraising efforts for the staff and children of CCMB.
His first fundraiser is what launched this page and gave it its name.. Bandaids for the BRAVE!
Urijah is currently collecting bandaids for the Peds Oncology floor at CCMB, all bandaid donations will be delivered at his October appointment around the 25th.
Please share and help Urijah in his quest to make a small impact on those affected by childhood cancer.
