Chicago's been crying all day because I have to head back to Austin tomorrow.

Work trip got extended until Friday but at least I got to see two of my favorite things at Wormhole Coffee today.

Spending Christmas in Texas this year and got the decorations up a week or two ago. Still have my OG artificial Xmas tree farm tree from Toy Joy. Had to put it a little higher this year with minimal help from the kitties. But hell, even some of the Legos in my office got festive.

White elephant gift bag at work held the same coaster I received as a gift around 8 years ago from (and happened to have at my office).

Now I've got one for work and home :D

Home a little early from the office since I'll be flying back out to California for a couple days in the AM and realized I still had some human treats left. , I did end up finally getting myself a brownie!

Some sites and fountains from my few days in Charleston while in the work trip. Was gray and rainy most of the time but honestly enjoyed it all the same.

A day with my brother. Hospital elevators & dinner with friends and family.

Hey there everyone.. this is an announcement from my family:

Dad fell down the stairs in his house early on Sunday morning. When he went to emergency room, a ct scan showed a bleed in his brain and fracture in the back of his skull. He was responsive but disoriented, unable to answer where he was or say his name, but able to follow commands. There was movement in all of his extremities. They admitted him to the neurological intensive care unit at upstate medical center here in Syracuse. and he is still there. Yesterday, he began to have difficulty breathing and was sedated and intubated. After the breathing tube was in, the next scan showed swelling in his brain. He underwent a procedure last night to relieve the pressure, and has a monitor in his skull to help the doctors keep an eye on everything. He is resting and they are monitoring him closely.

Our family immediately knows how important Dad is to everyone who knows him. He is struggling, and fighting, and we know he will do all he can to heal. If you have any questions, please let us know and we will do our best to answer. The hospital is busy monitoring him. Send your love, prayers, energy and thoughts. Every little bit helps.

Ended up changing after the contest to costume two. It includes 2 tiny robots and a jumpsuit I've wanted for a very, very long time.

Searching for intelligent life.

And testing a few pieces of equipment in the warehouse with the Events team.

Spent Devil's Night buying the wrong food for my cats and then curling up with a comfy book in some new PJs.

Hope everyone else had a good 'un.

New dentist has shades since my teefs future is so bright!!

But seriously, very happy to have found a new dentist, new optometrist, new neurologist, new primary, as well as having a fantastic physical therapy team all here in Austin.

These folks have been intricately connected in my recovery and I can't express how thankful I am.
