I drove out to SE Colorado on Monday looking for the Snow Goose migration but to no avail. I visited 4 reservoirs and ended up with zero snow geese. During my search, I did see this Merlin perched on a small tree overlooking the dry prairie. He was very interested in a large flock of song sparrows nearby. Climate change will rob them of %45 of their current habitat range.
