Hi friends! I was hoping to have a long overdue shop update this week, but Houston is kind of a mess at the moment post hurricane. For fear of packages getting lost in the mail, I’m going to hold off on a new drop for now. In the meantime, keep an eye out for new earrings and more info very soon 🌼

While meandering aisles of a new art store today I asked one of the employees if they had any jewelry or clay supplies. She responded “no, that would fall into the craft category not fine arts.” Undoubtedly, she meant it in the most non-offensive way, but I could not help but feel publicly shamed 🤣 I’ll see myself back to Michael’s — thems my people, thank you!

October is breast cancer awareness month! 💗

When not working with clay, I’m lucky to be Breast Surgical Oncology PA at one of the best cancer institutions in the world. Every day I get to meet and care for so many incredible women (& men) with breast cancer.

Facts about breast cancer:
• 13% of women (1 in 8)are diagnosed with breast cancer
• 1 in 39 women will die from breast cancer (~2.5%)
• Only 5 to 10% of diagnoses are thought to be genetic
• Breast cancer screening is recommended beginning at age 40
- Due to early screening, increased awareness and improving treatment options, breast cancer mortality has decreased by over 40% since 1990

Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons will be available WEDNESDAY, SEPT 27 at 7:00PM CT with 50% of the proceeds being donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. 💗
