Videos by Prayers For Paisley Rae. Paisley Rae was diagnosed with Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of two months. Current
Update: 1/19/2022 First and foremost we are so thankful Paisley’s biopsies showed no evidence of leukemia 🤍🙌. Last week Paisley went in and had her 10 Month lab draws as well as get antibodies to help boost her immune system since she is still immunocompromised. Meanwhile in the past few weeks the team got together having discussions and decided to try something different with her treatment plan. While she currently doesn’t have any leukemia (yay!) , the fact that there was some abnormalities in her deep sequencing test at 6 months combined with how aggressive this disease is, they want to give Paisley the best shot they can - so they want to do a THIRD infusion of T cells to see if that will help keep her B cells under control. Time is an important factor for her and treatment options..We are grateful that her doctors are willing to take the extra step and be extraordinarily cautious, doing everything to give her the best shot at life. Plus they say Third times a charm right?🤞🏻🍀 so now our big day for the reinfusion is this Monday January 24. Will you pray with us that this will be the cure? Will you join us in prayer that this is last boost to get rid of this cancer once and for all? God Bless this amazing little girl who never ceases to amaze me-Always smiling and laughing no matter what life throws at her #faithoverfear #thirdtimesacharm
1 year since diagnosis & Feelings are all over the place.. On 9/24/2020 Our lives were forever changed… CANCER It’s soul crushing. It’s ungodly painful to both watch and experience . It’s endless sleepless nights on couches and chairs. It’s staring at your child wondering why them? It’s spending holidays in a hospital room. It’s learning to navigate walking down the halls with a stroller in one hand and iv pole in the other. It’s holding your Child down for lab draws and chest port access . It’s vitals everywhere 4 hours anxiously waiting to see if you’ll have a fever this time. Its researching all the medications your child’s getting. It’s mucositis and mouth sores. It’s that fever finally appearing & things change rapidly, landing you in the ICU. It’s staring into your child’s terrified eyes whispering “I love you pumpkin we’ll get through this together” right before they get sedated for procedures. It’s Followed by having a full blown breakdown in the middle of the hall (thank you to everyone person who ever gave me boxes of tissues). It’s clawing at the walls wanting To get out of the hospital but the only thing you think about when you leave. It’s advocating for your child no matter the cost. It’s splitting yourself in half having one of your children only get one parent at a time. It’s seeing your beautiful babies together and then apart for Months on end. It’s exhaustion in every single form. It’s just unfair. It’s also-people coming together. It’s Family and friends supporting you however you need. Whether it’s Showing up to wave outside a window or Sending donations or food so you don’t need to worry about leaving the room for 5 minutes. It’s nurses becoming your family (we love our CHOP nurses!) It’s Drs with Tears of joy when we get good news because they have been holding their breath just like us. it’s finding laughs through the tears. It’s believing in hope, God and prayer again. I
Paisley Turns 1 🌈
Screaming Happy Birthday to our Sunshine!! Today is filled with lots of smiles and emotional tears! Paisley Rae to say the first year of your life has been cruel would be an understatement. You spent more then half of your life inside a hospital with constant chaos around you. 10 months ago we felt terrorized with the thoughts of not honestly not knowing if this day would come. You have been through more in your one year on this earth then some do in a lifetime - Yet you continue to persevere. You continue to fight, kicking cancer’s butt and you continue to PREVAIL - All with a constant smile on your face. You have taught us the true values in life- no matter what difficult situations we have been put in. You have renewed our faith in God, our belief in the the power of prayer and shown us what amazing people we are surrounded with. You are the best sissy to Paxton and are truly our hero. You are the light in our darkness and we are just so damn proud of you already. The world is yours cupcake, You are going to do big things and We can’t wait to watch you do them. Mommy and Daddy Love you so Much Pumpkin Happy Birthday!!! 💖💕🙏💜
