Ekene Needs A Kidney

Here is me immediately after transplant.

Hello Everyone.

I am happy to say that as of July 24th of this year, I have received a transplant. Thank you all for all your support, prayers, and well wishes. They were critical towards strengthening me on my journey and giving me hope. It was your words of encouragement that allowed me to continue pressing on. I am very grateful and appreciative to everyone for all the spiritual and temporal help they gave.

My life and health have been completely restored. I am no longer bound by the chains of kidney failure, or dialysis treatments. I am now completely free. In the bad old days, during the throws of kidney failure, I felt like I was on a steady decline to an eventual death. Now, I feel like someone who has been given a new life, a complete resurrection. My whole body is now in perfect health, with the new kidney at work!

I want to encourage everyone that although I am completely healed, there are still many who are dying every day. Kidney failure is a plague, and it assails 600 thousand of our neighbors here in the United States. There are more people who are dying in America of kidney failure, than there are people in Atlanta, Boston, Milwaukee, Miami, or Sacramento. I would encourage you all to consider being a kidney donor. I have attached a link to the National Kidney Registry's list of active microsites of people looking for a kidney donor.
