From Rags to Rices

Welcome to From Rags to Rices!!! This is a name I chose about 3 years ago for my crafting hobby. One of the first crafts I ever made was a hand stitched baby blanket that I made for one of my cousin's babies. That was almost 16 years ago! A few years ago, I started doing crafts for My Mission group at my church. One of the first crafts that I made for our group was rice bags. So, I feel like these were really my beginnings for my crafting hobby. I was thinking one day about the term, "from rags to riches." It struck me that that was kind of my beginnings as a crafter. Starting from "rags," with sewing baby blankets, to "rices," with making the rice bags. So, this is how I came to the name From Rags to Rices. It is just a fun pun to explain my beginnings. Last year I officially turned it into a business. I am also a full time homeschooling mama, so this is something I do on the side as a creative venture.
