Under the auspices of Abdulrauf University of Neurosurgery , Dandy Yemen in collaboration with Dandy Clubs of Iraq, Qatar, Algeria, Syria, Bahrain, Tunisia, Lebanon and UAE is organizing a session entitled "Anatomical basics of skull base surgeries" presented by Prof. Ibrahim Sbeih who is the former Vice-president of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) and the former president of Pan Arab Neurosurgical Society in association with Dr. Aseel Sbeih who is a Board-eligible neurosurgeon at Farah Medical Campus (FMC)

The session will be taken place on 22nd of April at 11 pm Yemen time, 4 pm EST, 10 pm CET

Here are the details about our membership,

🔴The secretary:

En gros son rôle c'est aider le président et le vice-président, kinda being always with them and assisting with student organization projects where needed.
- responding to emails, messages and questions and maintaining communication between the president and individual participants (this may include emails, letters, and phone calls).
- Taking minutes at every meeting;
- Maintaining the student club's history for that academic year.

🔴 Treasurer:

A financial officer (Treasurer) manages yhe financial matters. So The treasurer should keep the officers and members informed about the club's financial activities.
- monitoring the club’s budget.
- completing an annual financial report for the club.
- tending to the status of all purchase requests.
- collecting funds.
keeping a record of all transactions, deposits, checks...

🔴Scientific program chair:

In this page we are gonna post neuroscience and neurosurgery related posts regularly(at least once a week), so your job here is to do the research and prepare some post (we are going to discuss more about it later), also looking for interesting themes etc..

🔴 Ambassadors:

There job is to represent Algeria ( the Walter E.Dandy Neurosurgical Student Club Algeria) in the global society( The Walter E.Dandy Neurosurgical Society).

🔴 Social media director:

Je pense que c'est clair son rôle,
- working on the marketing of the club, events etc.

🔴 Information technology(IT) director:

Most of our events for now will be online, so you are responsible for all tasks related to technology and computer, managing the zoom meetings, lives, recording etc.
performs regular maintenance procedures and makes sure the necessary measures are
taken.
- managing the technical problems.
- makes sure all software is updated to meet the needs of the club.
- having design and video editing skills, for our Instagram posts and events posters.

🔴 Membership committee chair:

So later on we are going to have new recruitments, and your job is to:
- Welcomes new members and invites them to club/group activities.
- Maintains a membership list.
- help them getting everything they need as new members.
And if president is busy or can not make it, interview the applicants.

🔴 Monthly webinar program chair:

We are going to have a webinar once a month(ça sera dans la même date chaque mois), so you will:
- research for speakers and professors, also interesting themes to have in our events and recommend them to the president.
- working with the social media and IT directors on it.

حنا منظمة غير ربحية علمية في مجال جراحة المخ والأعصاب تأسست باسم الأب الروحي للمخ والأعصاب Prof.Walter E. Dandy و مقرها هو أمريكا.
الرئيس الدولي للمنظمة Prof. Saleem Abdulrauf و هو غني عن التعريف.
هاذ المنظمة راها تحل في فروع في عدة دول في العالم، و لي قايمة على أساس طلبة الطب، و لي راح تكون من أجل الطلبة.

La mission du club ainsi que de l'association est d'améliorer les résultats des patients en chirurgie neurologique en améliorant la formation neurochirurgicale, le programme de formation et le mécanisme de certification pour les neurochirurgiens de Algérie et du monde entier, nous cherchons à devenir un forum pour les étudiants en médecine et les chirurgiens neurologiques, qui, en travaillant en collaboration, améliorera la formation des résidents en neurochirurgie et des neurochirurgiens entièrement formés, l'enseignement de l'anatomie neurochirurgicale, des techniques opératoires, et participera au développement et distribution de lignes directrices pour la prise de décision clinique en utilisant la meilleure science disponible.

About the global president of the society, Dr. Prof. Saleem Abdulrauf,

Dr. Saleem I. Abdulrauf the Professor and Founding Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Saint Louis University (SLU), St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He is considered a leading figure in the field of neurosurgery. Neurosurgeons from around the world come to SLU throughout the year to be taught complex neurosurgical techniques by him. He has served as a visiting professor to over 100 universities around the globe. He has authored the main reference textbook for brain bypass surgery titled “Cerebral Revascularization” in which Dr. Abdulrauf details extra-cranial to intracranial bypass surgery. Additionally, he has pioneered a procedure for brain bypass surgery that is named after him.

He has served on the boards of multiple neurosurgical societies including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS), and the World Federation of Skull Base Societies (WFSBS). His most preeminent role was his appointment as the inaugural Global President of the Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society, which is considered the primary international society for operative neurosurgery. He was named the 17th President of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT) 2019-2020. He has been named as one of the Best Doctors in America annually for the last eight years. Dr. Abdulrauf’s opinion is routinely sought for the treatment of complex cases by neurosurgeons from around the world.

Dandy. The Society was founded in the state of Missouri, where Professor Dandy was born, raised, completed his undergraduate degree, and began medical school. Professor Dandy completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The society would like to recognize the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where Professor Dandy spent his entire career and made his many contributions to medicine.

The Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society seeks to become a forum for neurological surgeons, who by working collaboratively will enhance the education of both neurosurgical residents and fully-trained neurosurgeons, the teaching of neurosurgical anatomy, operative techniques, and take part in the development and distribution of guidelines for clinical decision making utilizing the best available science.
