e-Lyte is a one-stop, how-to-guide manual on creating and designing effective health literacy materials that is expert- and consensus-driven, intended for health-related student organizations and healthcare professionals serving their constituents and in-need communities.

e-Lyte is a small-grant awardee supported and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and the Institute Of Population, Health and Development , under the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Enhancing Human Capital in Health Virtual Program 2022.

For the last part of our workshop series, we are pleased to introduce our speakers for Sessions 5 and 6!

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟓: Social Media Management
𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫: Mr. Jurex Suson

A global Lexmark Vision Champion Awardee and the current Global Culture Ambassador, Jurex is a certified employer brand professional and is currently working as a PR and Internal Communications Manager, helping build Lexmark’s reputation as a preferred employer in Cebu.

He is currently the Local Skills Development Director of JCI Cebu Inc. and the national Public Relations Head of 2022 The Outstanding Young Men Awards team.

He has also pursued his passion for filmmaking and has now three short films under the BINISAYA Film Festival umbrella. He was an attendee of the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film School, a Korean genre film education program. His Bisaya sci-fi rom-com web series is currently in development and was chosen for the 2021 Full Circle Lab, the Southeast Asian project and talent development program co-organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines and Tatino Films.

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟔: Sustainability and Impact Evaluation
𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫: Dr. Yu Siow

He is an F2 Junior Doctor at York Hospital, United Kingdom, specializing in Endocrinology, Geriatrics, and Vascular Surgery. He represents the British Medical Association as an ambassador at the same hospital. Last 2020, he graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MDChB) degree.

On promoting Health Literacy, Dr. Siow founded Docere (), a social media health initiative that aims to break down health barriers. At the height of the pandemic, Docere engineered an online COVID vaccination campaign and administered workshops to educate underprivileged Malaysian children on vaccination, mental health, and public health.

𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥

Mr. Michael Unsay, is a multimedia designer based in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. He has over eight years of experience as a freelance photographer, graphic designer, and videographer. Through Powerhouse Studios, he has worked with large brands and organizations such as Ayala and Misamis Oriental Tourism for Miss Universe Philippines, is our distinguished speaker for Session 4: Impact-Oriented Infographic Design.

In terms of health literacy, Mike has been one of the graphic designers for the Cagayan de Oro COVID 19 response, informing the general public about the local government's disaster response, COVID updates and health tips to remain safe during the pandemic.

𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥

Ms. Kirstin Leigh Pareja is an Associate Certified and Transformational Coach and start-up co-founder of Welby and The Spark Project. Her expertise lies in the fields of Human Resource Development, Learning and Development, Project Management, and Community Development across corporate and non-profit sectors. She is our distinguished speaker for Session 3 with the theme "Understanding Target Populations for Tailor-fit Health Communication".

Kirstin is also the past Curator of the Global Shapers Iloilo Hub, a network of young people across the globe initiated by the World Economic Forum. She founded Postpartum Heroes, a support group dedicated to mothers, and is part of the award-winning youth mental health group in Iloilo City, Agubayani.

Ms. Kristal Liza Besario, a Halad Professional and Mentor for Reproductive Health at Halad to Health Philippines, is our distinguished speaker for the second workshop with the theme "Health Literacy in the time of social media: What changed, How to keep up?"

Ms. Kissy is a registered nurse practicing as a clinical instructor at St. Paul University Surigao. In 2021, she was awarded as one of the Outstanding COVID-19 Volunteer by NEDA-CARAGA and Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.

She is a renowned speaker for several advocacies which includes HIV AIDS Awareness, Health and Well-being, Women Empowerment, and Gender Equality.

Ms. Kissy is the immediate past president of JCI Surigao Wensie and Area 5 Skills Development Director. Currently, she is the national chair for UNSDG 3.

Watch out for 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗲-𝗟𝘆𝘁𝗲, a YSEALI grant recipient from the recently conducted Enhancing Human Capital in Health Regional Workshop 2022 organized by the Institute of Population, Health and Development and U.S. Embassy Hanoi.
