Crafted in the Midlands in one of our very first knitwear factories, the Milano vest is a classic gilet style, perfect for year-round layering. Made from a Swiss pure new wool, which is knitted in a Milano stitch for a dense but soft feel, and featuring an open v-neck and two patch pockets at the front. Produced in limited quantities.

Employing one of their new, flurocarbon free dry finish BCI cotton finishes that features great water resistance, a cool handle and unrivaled crease recovery. The Parka is fully lined with a heavy Rayon twill and quilted throughout.

A new addition in our casual shirting line - Based on a vintage patchwork shirt, featuring broad and fine stripe contrast shirtings along with a part concealed placket, reinforced elbow pads and button down collar. Available in a plain version and two overdyed options.

Our classic Utility work trouser cut - Crafted from a hard wearing cotton twill and featuring a garment dye process for a rich colour and a worn in look. Details include metal jean shank top stud, patch fatigue pockets with extra ticket pocket and tool pocket on the left leg.

After fifteen amazing years, today is our last day of trade at 23 Beak Street.

We originally took the store as a six month pop up but it quickly became our clubhouse, and it’s been a pleasure to be the custodian for so long.  

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in there over the years, we leave with amazing memories, have met some incredible people and made lifelong friends.

A fresh update to our classic sweatshirt style - a cleaner, more contemporary fit. Crafted from our signature loop back organic 100% cotton fleece. With rib insert on both the sleeve and the neck. To reduce irratation we have used a cotton tape hang loop at the back neck.

Jonathan Richman was often seen performing in a white/navy stripe t shirt - taking inspiration from Picasso before him. For Pre AW22 - we wanted to make something similar! A great all round denim style, now available in our Summer Sale. The Easy jean in Ecru.

Our Flax smock is crafted from a linen blend using flax grown in Belgium, woven in Kirkcaldy in Fife and then treated in Dundee. This process creates a lightly waxed linen blend which is perfect for the Spring months - offering weather proof properties while being breathable. An over the head style featuring a quarter zip fastening and two large patch pockets. Regular fitting throughout with press fit wrist adjusters to allow for layering. Fits slightly longer than our usual smock styles.

Alan Trotter is a Scottish writer, living and working in Edinburgh. His debut novel, Muscle, was published in 2019 by Faber & Faber. It’s a unique piece of work, combining detective noir tropes with unusual, experimental elements to make something that’s a thrill to read, but also unclassifiable.⁠
