Here are 10 key lessons from
"Leaders Don't Command" by Jorge Cuervo:

1. Leadership is Influence, Not Authority: True leadership is about influencing others through trust and respect, not commanding or exerting authority.

2. Lead by Example: Leaders should embody the values and behaviors they wish to see in their team. Leading by example fosters credibility and trust.

3. Empower Others: Effective leaders empower their team members by giving them autonomy and encouraging their personal and professional growth.

4. Listen Actively: Active listening is crucial for understanding the needs, concerns, and ideas of your team. It helps in building strong relationships and making informed decisions.

5. Foster Collaboration: Collaborative environments lead to better decision-making and innovation. Cuervo emphasizes the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility.

6. Emotional Intelligence is Key: A leader's ability to manage their own emotions and understand those of others is essential for building strong, empathetic teams.

7. Adaptability is Essential: Leaders must be adaptable and open to change. The ability to pivot and adjust strategies in response to new challenges is crucial for long-term success.

8. Build a Positive Culture: A positive organizational culture drives motivation and engagement. Cuervo stresses the importance of creating a culture where people feel valued and supported.

9. Develop Future Leaders: Part of a leader's role is to mentor and develop future leaders. Investing in the growth of your team ensures the long-term success of the organization.

10. Humility and Servant Leadership: Great leaders serve their teams rather than dominate them. Cuervo advocates for humility and a servant leadership approach, where the leader's role is to support and uplift their team.

ACT OF CONSECRATION OF THE PHILIPPINES TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

(The following consecration formula is to be recited after the Mass of the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as mandated by all the bishops in the Philippines in response to the looming crisis our nation is facing.)

"We have recourse to your protection, O holy Mother of God."
As we recite the words of this antiphon with which the Church of Christ has prayed for centuries, we find ourselves today before you, our Immaculate Mother. We, who make up the Body of Christ present in our land, recite the words of this Act of Consecration and Entrustment, in which we gather, first of all, the hopes and anxieties of our Filipino people, at this moment of our history.

Mother of our people, we rejoice in the name, "Pueblo amante de Maria", a people who love Mary, Bayang sumisinta kay Maria. You know all our sufferings and our hopes, you who have a mother's awareness of all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, which afflict the world today. Mother of our people, accept the cry which we, deeply moved by the Holy Spirit, address directly to your heart. Embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord, our people and our land, which now we entrust and consecrate to you, for we are truly concerned for the earthly and eternal destiny Of every individual among us and for all our people.

"We have recourse to your protection, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities."

Dearest Mother, we consecrate and entrust to you our lives, our families, our nation, our arch/diocese to your loving and immaculate heart.

From hatred, violence, and conflicts which divide and destroy our people, deliver us.
From sins against human life, from its very beginning, deliver us.
From the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.
From every kind of injustice in the life of society, deliver us.
From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.
From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.
From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us.

Accept, O Immaculate Mother of Christ, this cry, laden with the hopes and burdens, the sufferings of each one of us, and of all our people. Let there be revealed once more, in our own history as a people, the infinite power of the Redemption, the power of merciful love. May it destroy the power of sin and evil among us. May it transform consciences.

O Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, our life, our sweetness and our hope! Amen.

Plants keep pouring in to beautify the place where our chapel stands... We just need to repot them into something decent. If anybody can help us procure the necessary pots so that the chapel of Our Lady will look lovely. Thank you in advance

The faithful of Tiwi, where our Novitiate House belongs, came to help us clean the surrounding areas, brought a bulldozer to facilitate it, and plants as well so that our chapel will look dignified inside out. The chapel is a testament that we need a village for any big enterprise behind our back. We thank the Lord for sending all the helps we need.

Do you know the peace and security of the Good Shepherd who watches over his own? The Old Testament often speaks of God as shepherd of his people, Israel. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock! (Psalm 80:1) We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3). The Messiah is also pictured as the shepherd of God's people: He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms (Isaiah 40:11). Jesus says he is the Good Shepherd who will risk his life to seek out and save the stray sheep (Matthew 18:12, Luke 15:4). He is the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and Guardian of our souls
Jesus made three promises to his followers. He promised them everlasting life. If they accept him and follow him, they will have the life of God in them. Jesus also promised them a life that would know no end. Death would not be the end but the beginning; they would know the glory of indestructible life. Jesus promised a life that was secure. Jesus said that nothing would sn**ch them out of his hand, not even sorrow and death, since he is everlasting life itself. Our lives are safe in his hands.

Happy Good Shepherd Sunday po

The door to heaven and key to paradise is through the cross
The centrality of the Gospel message is the cross - but fortunately it does not stop there. Through the cross Jesus defeated our enemies - death and Satan and won pardon for our sins. His cross is the door to heaven and the key to paradise. The way to glory is through the cross. When the disciples saw the risen Lord they disbelieved for joy! How can death lead to life, the cross to victory? Jesus shows us the way and he gives us the power to overcome sin and despair, and everything else that would stand in the way of his love and truth. Just as the first disciples were commissioned to bring the good news of salvation to all the nations, so, we, too, are called to be witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to all who live on the face of the earth. Do you witness the joy of the Gospel to those around you?

Happy 3rd Sunday of Easter
Keep safe and May God be praised
