START THE DAY WITH A BIG GLASS OF LEMON WATER
First things first. Start the day off with a giant glass of lemon water.
Why?
During sleep, your body is in restoration mode, and that also means some detox is occurring. And you’ve spent a full night without water, so hydration is in order....and by adding some lemon to the mix, you can enhance the health benefits.
Some of the health benefits of lemon water:
- Helps with hydration, assists your liver in flushing out toxins, and it’s also thought to help with digestion, and keeping you regular.
Added bonus? Lemons are also high in essential vitamins and nutrients, like vitamin C, fiber, B-complex vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium.
But the one to pay attention to here is the vitamin C: it’s an antioxidant, which helps your body fight against free radicals. Meaning it’s good for your skin and your immune system.

Lemon Ginger Tea
2 cups water
1 inch ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
1 large lemon, (juice of)
1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
pinch of cayenne (optional)
1/4 teaspoon raw, coconut or organic sugar or maple syrup (optional)
