We will have a Fifth Sunday potluck meal on Sunday, October 30th following morning worship. Bring your favorite dishes (as Jibber said, what made you Gail famous) and join us for a time of food, fun, and fellowship.

Due to so many who are sick, we are going to dismiss all services at the church until January 30th.

I’m just now getting around to this because I have been helping my mother after her injury and realized I hadn’t publicly said thank you to our precious church.
Last Sunday our church honored us with a love offering and lovely card with such sweet words written by so many precious people. We are so thankful for our church family. It’s been 24 years of serving here and we’re still going strong. (They haven’t run us off, yet. 😉)

Borden County School will have a prayer walk at the school on Monday, August 16th at 6:00 pm.
Come join us as we pray over the administration, teachers, maintenance, classrooms, and students. If you’re unable to attend in person, please be in prayer at that time.

We will have a church-wide hamburger and homemade ice cream supper, Sunday evening, July 4th following a time of singing starting at 6:00. The church is providing hamburgers with all the fixings and chips. Please bring homemade ice cream, brownies or cookies, etc.
We will also have fireworks, weather permitting., if anyone would like to bring any to share in our celebration.

First Baptist, Gail will have a church-wide potluck meal following morning worship this Sunday, May 30th. Bring your favorite dishes to share and join us. This will be our first potluck since the pandemic began. It will be such a wonderful time of fellowship for us all.

There will be a time of visitation for the Jack Savage family tomorrow night at 6:00 at Brandon funeral home.
They will have a graveside service Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Lamesa cemetery

We had our ladies craft day, today at First Baptist Church. I enjoyed it so much. Cookie Dyess, Carol Beth Dyess, Pam Aten Cooley, Verna Todd Adcock, Cindy Terry Herridge, Joyce Herridge. I made an Easter Egg. Such a blessing.

We will have worship service in our cars at Jibber and Cindy’s again this coming Sunday and will continue to worship in this way until we feel it’s safe to meet together in our church building.

We will have a drive-in Easter service at Jibber and Cindy’s tomorrow at 11:00. You will stay in your cars parked at least 6 feet apart with windows down.
Join us, if you can. We hope to see you all there.

But, if we get too much rain, we won’t be able to do this because the ground will be too soggy and cars will get stuck.

Easter Egg hunt for social distancing. Gail is having an Easter Egg hunt which involves people placing an egg they’ve made, or perhaps you already have, in a window of your home and children drive around with their parents to hunt the eggs. This hunt will start this Sunday and go through Easter Sunday.
We can also post other Easter pictures if you wish such as tombs, crosses, etc.
This will be loads of fun and we can blow up Facebook with our finds. Pictures will be great. How better to collect the eggs.
We might not can have a traditional egg hunt but we can sure have a great time. All ages encouraged to participate.
So, get to creating and let us know if you’re participating.
