“True dreams aren’t those that you see in sleep but
those that don’t let you sleep”.

Qotd: How many of you love hearing stories when someone is narrating it to you?

Well this book "Penumbra Snippet" by Nagendra Singh is exactly like this feeling just the difference is that you yourself is reading the story narrated by the writer. We read different books and and get to know about the author's point of view. This book is the authors life journey or autobiography from childhood to adolescent, coping with various difficulties of life. The title in which Penumbra is used which means partial illumination one can make out that it is a brief part of the author's life where he hopes abd discusses about his Parkinson's disorder.

The author starts every chapter with a quotation of a famous personality. He shares the struggles of his story getting published and then the book is divided into three parts. The part where he shares his frustration, talks about McCarthyism, Urban Naxalism, then about Two Snippets and moves on further actually kept me hooked towards completing the whole book. Then the story moves on to where he points out a quote by Sidney Poitier “I had chosen to use my work as a reflection of my values” and discusses about his search for Penumbra. I actually can't explain the whole story in my review as it was quite a mesmerising read where everything can't be explained in words and it is actually to be read.

It turns out to be a great read of 520 pages long book which indeed needs patience. He discusses about each and every stage of his life from childhood to the college days then the life where job concern is there and then some politics is included. The narration and the story is amazingly penned down. Would recommend to everyone.

"It’s a huge book but the author has divided content well in sequences under interesting, intelligent and sarcastic headings. So it’s reader friendly. There are number if interesting characters in it like Russi Mody. 'The murder in the backyard' part was interesting for me because I was eager to read what’s in it. but it was portrayed in such a nice way that is not confusing. Author has used amazing vocabulary and language. Writing style is intelligent, funny and sarcastic at times. Indeed everyone has some extraordinary tale to share."
I really enjoyed reading it. Good one.👍👍👍👍👍
