I'm completely astonished by the number of people who have enquired whether Zimbabwe is safe!

To answer ... from my experience it is very much so. Note however, that I don't walk around tempting fate with bills hanging out my pockets or dripping with jewellery. Not something one does pretty much anywhere in the world these days.

The Zimbabwean people of all tribes are renowned for their friendliness, helpfulness and humour.

Our palatial yet humble holiday home doesn't have a pool nor whirlpool bath but it has a fully kitted kitchen and the shower and bathrooms don't run out of water. Geysers and all.
