Dear All,

Yesterday we were able to donate dry ration in Bamangachi, Balitikuri and other small slum areas in Howrah with prompt help, guidance and support from the local police authorities.

I am obliged to be the channel of the expression of gratitude and blessings of so many in need who we have been able to collectively provide Rahat too.

It's now easier to send Project Rahat a message.

Project Rāhat is a collective initiative which has seen it's inception in this crucial period of unity and need. In this challenging time of lockdown, there are many citizens either out of work or working 24X7 to ensure our safety and protection. It thereby becomes our duty and an expression of gratitude to provide for the less fortunate and equip the torch bearers with the best equipment to emerge successfully from this crisis. Presently, the following things seem to be of utmost importance:

1. To ensure that all sleep with their stomachs full

2. To ensure proper, healthy, congenial and hygienic places to quarantine people

3. To provide shelters to migrants

4. Most importantly, the safety of our torch bearers, the Doctors and the Police Force in the form of proper equipment and PPEs for them.

As solution to the above, we have thought of:

1. Providing food for 700 families until the lockdown

2. To help with a Quarantine Home in Foreshore Road, Howrah which will remain functional for the next 3 months.

3. To arrange and supply PPEs to all necessary hospitals and Police Force.

4. Post this, if we have surplus funds, we shall contribute it in the PM cares fund.

However, to do all of this, we will be requiring immense support from your end. We require a funding of over and above 17 lakhs. Its my pleasure to tell you that we have been able to manage a fund of 7 lakhs so far from generous contributions of our family and friends. To feed 700 families we will require a fund of 7 Lakhs and any surplus is being directed towards our other aims.

However, now we urge you to help us by:

1. Reaching out to all your contacts and urging them to donate to our cause.

2. Reaching out to all your known ones and finding out if any of them can help us with either the sourcing of the PPEs or for providing shelters to the migrants. (For example: In different parts of India, Schools have been temporarily converted into Shelter homes or Quarantine homes)

3. Or with any other ideas or suggestions to reach our final goal.

Please keep helping out and being active in this forum. It is our collective initiative and project to do our bit for our beloved country we pledge our belonging to.
