This bear was made in remembrance of a persons dog!! I love how soft and sweet it is! My dogs are my babies and my heart aches for this client for losing her baby dog.

Hi my name is Whitney Prewitt and I own Whitney Pooh Bears. I am excited to share my business with you. It all got started in 2019 when my Grandma decided to clean out her closet. She tried to make bears out of My Grandpa's shirts, he had passed away 11 years prior. It turned out to be too emotional of a project for her so I decided to give it a try.

After multiple pattern changes, LOTS of cotton and 6 months of work I ended up with 88 bears to give to all of my aunts, uncles and cousins. I swore I would NEVER look at or sew another bear again! However; as I started hearing about the joy the bears brought and the stories from others about how amazing the bears were for them; I decided that it meant too much to not continue sharing such a precious gift with others.

As my business has grown I have added memory quilts. These usually include T- shirts, sports jerseys, and
dance costumes that display a persons accomplishments.

My favorite part about what I do is connecting with so many people and hearing their stories and precious memories. Once I have learned of the importance of the bear my creativity takes over and in the end I have a very meaningful, sentimental memory bear or quilt for my clients.

I am excited to get to work with you and to hear your story!

I love how this quilt turned out despite my crappy photo taking skills! It was made from drill team clothes/costumes/ blankets. My favorite part is the hoodies with pockets on it!

So my amazing aunt saved some clothes from my great grandpa who passed away some time ago and for Father’s Day we made “Grandpa Ralph” bears! This was a very sentimental project that I loved working on!

I’ve been pretty busy so far this summer and I am loving it!! I enjoy connecting with so many people and hearing their stories and being able to send them away with something special!

These bears are adorable! These were made from western shirts and I love how they worked out! The matching scrunchies are super fun as well.

Some recent projects, I am in love with the embroidered and quilt bears! The blue bears have one of my absolute favorite song quotes on them and are a Father’s Day gift!

This quilt was made from a families baseball t-shirts. They have it to their mom for Mother’s Day! I love how it turned out!!
