This month, I've been thinking about the projects I've done. Being the overthinker that I am, my mind considered how much work remains to be done and how far I needed to develop. I, too, had a period where I couldn't stop comparing my achievement to those of others. To be honest, I became overwhelmed to the point that I began to doubt myself and my skills, questioning if I could actually perform the services that I do. When you think about the things you believe you lack, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.

Took the time to reflect on why I do the things I do. Touching on bases & roots. 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦

No, my self-doubt did not vanish in the blink of an eye. I'd be lying to you if I said it did.

What I did discover was a better understanding of myself and my slow but steady growth. And that, in my opinion, is a WIN.

This quotation really stuck with me.

No one ever told me that being left on your own thoughts can sometimes be bad for you. This is especially true to me, as a person who most of the time avoid actual in-person social interaction.

As an overthinker, we (I) are (am) rooted to predict things and outcomes to go a certain way... Usually on a negative route.

This is the time I realized that I am entangled by my 𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧𝘴.

Often time than not, we limit ourselves to the things that we think we can't do without even trying to dip our toes on the water.

As Mary Kay said, "... 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦". Stop focusing on the ultimate end goal and start taking steps to achieve it.

𝗔𝗠 𝗜 𝗔 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗨𝗥𝗘?

Hey there! How was your weekend?

Good? Could be better? How was it? I genuinely want to know.

I want to share a short story about me and my journey in this business. Some of your might be able to relate to this story or to others this may be meh. But here goes nothing.

Throughout my journey, I've taken numerous risks in pursuit of the path I'm now on. I turned down opportunities. Some may be aware that I have completely changed my career path in order to do posters (such as the one above). My college professors might even mock me for getting to where I am now.

That is why sometimes I ask myself the question...

𝐀𝐌 𝐈 𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐔𝐑𝐄?

The short answer is NO!

I made the decision to take this path. A decision that I am extremely happy with.

"𝙎𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙨𝙢."

There were a few bumps along the road, as there will always be bumps along any road or path which we will take.

The true battle is how you deal with these setbacks on your way to your goal(s).

𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗘𝗥

Hey, you! Yes, you, the person who is reading this right now. Are you also an overthinker? Guess what?! you're not alone.

You might have asked yourself at least once the question, "𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜". With that question in your mind, you then proceed to overthink! Now, you find yourself back in the same loophole of overthinking! GREAT SOMETHING WE NEED MORE OF! LOL

This question struck a chord with me because I, too, am a thinker. I've learned techniques to avoid over-analyzing everything.

𝟭. 𝗗𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 "𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴" 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲
- If you're frightened about looking stupid, make a few mistakes on purpose. It won't take long for you to realize that nothing horrible is going to happen.

𝟮. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
- A simple "no" is not a never, it's sometimes a "now now".

𝟯. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀
- You'll feel self-conscious and overthink everything you do and say if your main goal in every social interaction is to get other people to like you. When you've learnt to validate yourself, it's often easier to relax and be genuine with people.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗜'𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Hey there! I know I know, It's been a while since I've made my last update here on the account.

To be completely honest, 2021 was 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦! It probably was the same to most of you. A lot of ups and downs, twists and turns, laugh and cry. But hey! Here we all are pushing through with yet another year of complete uncertainty.

I was supposed to post this on exactly the 1st of January, making sure that I was up to date. But, lo-and-behold I pushed it to a later date. Reason?... Well, I don't have much of a reason as to I just wanted to reserve the first week and have everything mapped out.

I started the year by mapping out my goals for the year. Whilst doing this, I found myself hyper fixated on the task and didn't notice that I was able to map out 2 months worth of content, for my personal brand, all in a day!

Yesterday's animal was a crane. Today's animal is, you guessed it, a goldfish.

You might ask why or who chooses the animals that I put in the design. It's randomly generated. So, whatever animal the generator pulls up I work with.
