Sometimes, it's so easy to forget those times we thirsted for encouragement (and acknowledgement, even though we deny it)—those times others saw us as weird or abnormal, because of how different we did things—when we're faced with others who seem like awkward anomalies in comparison to even us.

It's one of those insecurities of ours.
