While others I'm only just posting now, due to the time ravaging beast called Procrastination, these two beauties are freshly borne out of my most recent state of mind.
It's sort of like God's kind gift of therapy to me: this blurting poetry.
I'm going to make a chapbook for the love series soon. I'm not sure when yet, but do watch out for it!
I wrote them all at once, but they almost felt too heavy for a single release.
So, I've been brooding on the whole valentine thing... And though right now, it falls into the category of things I'm still learning to appreciate, I will take advantage of this day that has been dedicated to love, to share another beautiful piece with us.

It's still
In my scariest moments, somehow the song "Tremble" by Steffany Gretzinger, gains such depth and such meaning.

God's words aren't steam that disappears as soon as it's seen.
Because love is something we can talk about every day.
Love—so many perspectives to this.

Because I believe the Bible contains some of the most beautiful poetry ever written.
There's something about heartfelt words. 😊
Sometimes, it's so easy to forget those times we thirsted for encouragement (and acknowledgement, even though we deny it)—those times others saw us as weird or abnormal, because of how different we did things—when we're faced with others who seem like awkward anomalies in comparison to even us.
It's one of those insecurities of ours.

A small part of creation I might be, but never inconsequential.
And each day we learn, that colours can sing as well.
