Tomorrow, at Equip Community Church, Akure, we will gather to study God's Word and to pray.

The church in Smyrna is one of the two churches that the Lord did not rebuke. There is something we can learn from this church.

Faith begins with knowledge of God and His will and the application of His counsel.

Concerning Forgiveness

"When you forgive someone, you are dancing to the rhythm of the divine heartbeat. God invented forgiveness as the only way to keep His romance with the human race alive." Lewis Smedes

In the mysterious alchemy of human beings we find present two possibilities; acceptance and rejection, betrayal and forgiveness, selfishness and sacrifice.

Those who have known the ache of loneliness, the hope of searching, the joy of intimacy, the vulnerability in true friendship, the anguish of betrayal and the pain of abandonment are the ones really alive! It is impossible to be totally shielded from these realities while you continue to be a human being.

Those who can care for you the most are also likely to be the ones who can hurt you the most.

Is there anything that inflicts more pain on a human soul like revenge? I know abuse is horrible, oppression is terrible, injustice is bad, but revenge will outdo them all. It leaves a scar on the soul while we're trying to get even. The way of vengeance is the way of ruin, the way of forgiveness is the way of peace. Forgiveness will have to be a way of life if we will survive and thrive in this broken world.

Let me warn you: Forgiveness is easier said, easier preached and easier posted than done. But things can change, beginning with you and me.

Preaching the word is prophesying in the name and on behalf of the Lord. We cannot do whatever we like behind the pulpit. The word of God alone is to be preached, in its perfection and inner consistency. Scripture is the exclusive subject of preaching, the only field in which the preacher is to labour.

Revive 💯 nuggets

Take care of the sparks and you won't bother about fire. Do right in the little things and you'd worry less about future consequences. Live right or die scared. The righteous are as bold as a lion, but the wicked runs when no one is pursuing him. The little foxes always spoil the vine. Many leaders fail towards the end of their life because they somehow dilute the original vision that drove them. Their previous success distorts their perspective, bloats their ego and leads to costly assumptions. Don't let this happen to you. While a good start helps, a good finish is up to you.

Families would certainly be healthier and happier if husbands (male) and wives (female) work together instead of trying to trick each other. Hoodwinking your spouse is a sure way to turn a good situation bad and make a bad situation worse.

Nobody knows what you do in secret, they only see what you post to the public. Integrity is when the private matches the public with nothing to be afraid of, if discovered.

A life of faith is a life of struggle. The believer in Jesus Christ battles the world, the flesh, the devil, even wicked and unreasonable men.

But the beauty is beneath the surface. After the toil, the war, the sweat, the blood, smoke and fire. The verdict of the Eternal One from Heaven rings clear, they overcame!
