The 0.7 Update version of me.
Okay. This is going to hurt like hell but I have to be honest in my
review as it stands right this minute.

I am furious as f**k.

Update 0.7 is the greatest let down I have experienced in the years I've been playing this. I have seen other people angry over passed updates and kinda waved it off cos I didn't see the fuss. Now I do.

0.7 is an unfinished update devoid of nearly everything the Dev Blogs have been promising aside from a crop duster and the Outposts, which aren't even finished. The Bank and Saloon are closed, so much for showing all the vendor models. Way to f**king go. And the promised female models and clothing. Nope. Not here. The new car. Not here, but you do get a motorcycle variant. The two "mini bosses" they've been teasing and working on? Nope. Just a stupid plane with the worst controls I have ever seen, a bike variant and half baked Outposts. They even use the same vendor models for each one. That's some dubious cloning there.

On the plus side. The game is waaaay better optimized and vehicles actual work like they are supposed to, smooth and zero lag. There have been several small, blink and you'll miss it re textures and model changes like scrap metal, but the bigger updates like buildings isn't here.

I knew I smelled a rat when all Gamepires wanted to show off were the planes during their event. Dazzle with some aerial combat to distract from just how incomplete the update actually is.

I'd hoped on getting back to My SCUM Called Life this week, but that's not going to happen until they sort this s**t out. I'm double mad that with all the s**t that was supposed to be here not being here, I could have just half assed my series and started without the new stuff. But that's not how I roll and I have plans for my series and I'll wait til they deliver what they said they were going to before Season One gets under way. A Godz damned mellonfarming super annoying shame >.

I yelled at the screen more in this game than I have since Rise of the Tomb Raider. Which in the end is all this is. ROTTR mixed with Mass Effect and third person Far Cry Primal. It could have been so much more. I wonder if I can edit that s**t out and find the real heart of this game haha Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of it, not the ex*****on of the convoluted story it didn't need.
Gaia vs Hades should have been a battle of philosophies which Aloy is given a choice to accept. One, the other or neither.
Instead you get the Reaper War. Again. A f**king waste.

I'd like to take this time to dispel some possible misinformation. If anyone tells you that your saved games get deleted with new updates, that is totally false. They do not. Clairie is my original SCUM character and this is like her 3rd incarnation and the one that still exists to this day. As you can see from her date of creation, she was not deleted by Gamepires after any major updates like they do with their public servers. Your solo game will never be effected.
