Bari Veg Stef
I underwent Bariatric VSG surgery on June 8th, 2023. I am vegetarian.
I've been too negative about my self-image even with all the progress I've made this far, so I finally broke down and asked my partner to do another 360 of me so I can see the progress in photos since it's hard for my brain to see it in the mirror.
May 29th vs October 29th.
5 months.
67lbs down.
For transparency:
Highest Weight: 380lbs
Current Weight: 312lbs
Goal Weight: Until I feel better
Closing in on week 15 since surgery and I'm officially 61 pounds down! My weightloss has slowed significantly in the last month, due to various reasons, but I'm happy I'm losing slower because it means it's more sustainable in the long run. I've seen many stories where folks lose everything super fast and then end up regaining a few years later. I want my diet to be sustainable and non-restrictive! I've had many stalls but they always break after a week or so.
At 15 weeks, I'm just shy of 4 months since surgery and my hair loss is CRAZY! I knew to expect it starting around the 3 month mark, and I wasn't too worried because my hair is super thick and I already lose a bit on a daily basis. But currently, I'm clearing out my brush daily with fists full of hair! Never been more grateful for a head of thick hair because you couldn't even tell! 😂
Some good news! Officially 53.8 pounds down, 10 weeks post op!
A written post will come sometime this week, where I'll discuss guilt over food among other topics.
2 month post op update! Stay tuned for a special guest at the end!
VSG friendly raspberry chai tea latte from Black Rock coffee!
How to order:
Small or medium iced/blended unsweetened chai latte with soy milk. Add sugar free raspberry syrup!
I originally intended to have sugar free strawberry syrup but they were out so I tried raspberry. Either works great!
One month post-op appointment update!
Hello everyone!
I'm going to use this page as a means to document my Bariatric journey. This means less posts about it on my personal page. I'm going to learn how to use reels and really try to start hammering down getting this journey out there for other folks to see!
Thanks for following along! ❤️
