We are set to start 13th in tonight’s World of Outlaws Modified Feature here at !! Goal is to put on a show for the biggest crowd Highland has ever had!

Come out to the Madison County Fair Race at Highland Speedway to support your local dirt track and watch the 11b hopefully put on a good show in the Pro Modified Division!

Fair Race Time at the Madison County Fairgrounds. It’s been a few years since we were in victory lane at this event, but boy it’s always an exciting night.

While we won’t be competing in the modified we will be there with the 11b Pro modified.

Come out and enjoy an exciting night of racing at the Highland Speedway.

Falcon transmission and shorter drive shaft is installed. Thanks to Troy Loomis, Tim Zoch and Mike McKinney for helping me get this “Old” Longhorn as close to figured out as it’s been.

ANNOUNCEMENT 9:30 AM

The rain today has forced Highland Speedway to cancel racing scheduled for Saturday, June 1st.

Open Practice is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4th from 6 to 8 PM.

We’ll see you next week (June 8th) for Super Late Models, Modifieds, ProModifieds (double Feature) and Factory Stocks.

Picked up the win in heat race #2 but didn’t finish the night as planned with a feature win. We had a super fast hot rod battling for the lead, running in the 2nd spot, but got bottled up on a restart and clipped a tire.

We had lost low gear early in the race and the engine was loading up rolling the cautions in high gear. Driver was too worried about stalling the engine that he failed to miss the big white object in his periphelal vision.🤣 No excuses, just the facts. This one’s on me. We will be back with our Aviston Lumber Company/Equity Realty Group Longhorn Chassis. Thanks to the guys at Longhorn for the after hours calls with us to fix the “drive train car from hell.” -Their words not mine.

The Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club will have a Water Balloon Fight with the Drivers and there’s always a Bounce House for kids from Gateway Bounce.

$15 GA, 12 and under are FREE with a paid adult GA, students 13-18 are $5 and Pit Passes are $35. Pits open at 3PM and Grandstands at 5PM.

The 11B team had an uphill battle all night between carburetor issues and a bad pill draw however we ended the night with a career best finish. We would go from 13th to 6th in the feature and the driver was throwing everything he had to get a top 5 however we just ran out of laps.

Overall really happy with this car, it’s turning into a rocket ship before our eyes and we’ve got a few more ideas to get a bit more speed out of it.

I would like to thank everyone involved, we wouldn’t be able to do it without you.

Started 5th in the heat race, worked up to 2nd early and tried to reel in my buddy Kevin Medlin Racing but came up short as he picked up the heat win (congratulations!)

Started 3rd in the feature and got shuffled back early, ran 5th for the first half of the race before getting tangled up with another car. Hit the time limit as they were trying to get us apart, and unfortunately finished 11th.

Congrats Andrew Depper on the win!

Overall the car was really fast, we’ve got some things up our sleeve to get a bit faster and hope to pick up that first feature win soon!

Rolled off p1 in the heat car was super tight finished second.
Rolled off P6 in the feature and unfortunately, got bobbled back to P9 on the start and ran there all race. Overall, the car was pretty good. Had a lot of fun banging the cushion. Just wish we could’ve been a little bit better.
Congratulations to Garrett Schumacher, on a long overdue win! Thank you to TJ Wilson, my lovely wife, Pops, and everybody that helps out on this race car week in and week out.
