My take on this year’s Met Gala theme: Gilded Age
Wanted to design what the Taínos may have come up with free from Spanish conquest to develop past their formative stage. I tried to see what materials and silhouettes would’ve been allowed considering the climate and potential trade they would’ve had with other indigenous groups outside of South America and other Caribbean islands.
