KS1 - 3.30-4.30- bring costume to school. Collect via reception.

KS2 - 4.45-5.45- come in costume to hall doors for entry.

It’s nearly the start of this year’s school flu programme! This year we’re making our way around the primary schools before including the secondaries from November.

Make sure to keep your children safe & well this winter. Complete your child’s e-consent when you receive the link from their school, or you can complete it now 👉 bit.ly/SchFBab - but please only complete one consent per child.

The PTFA along with the staff and pupils of Llanfoist Fawr are hosting a Macmillan coffee morning on Friday 27th September. Please see the attached poster for more details.

We are asking for cake donations to support the event- please bring in any donations on the day of the coffee morning- they can be left in reception if you are unable to attend.

We don’t mind shop bought or home baked, but we endeavour to be nut free school due to staff and child allergies, so please be mindful of this

For those able to attend there will be donation pots available, or a cashless QR code to enable you to donate online and you’ll be treated to a short performance by the children.

We hope you will support this important event and help us raise funds for this amazing charity.

It’s flu season! 🤧 Our Immunsiation team will start visiting primary schools from next Wednesday, before including secondary schools from November.

If you want to get ahead of the curve, you can complete your child’s e-consent now 👉 bit.ly/SchFBab - but please only complete it once. If a child has multiple consents it can make things a little trickier for our staff on the day.

We had a great time supporting Abergavenny Carnival today! Thank you to all the boys and girls who took part! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

School meals start on week 1 tomorrow! 🥪 🍕🌭🫛🍎🍌

Llanfoist PTFA will be participating in Abergavenny Community Carnival on the 7th September.

If your child would like to represent our school then please get in touch with the PTFA or through year group What’s app.

We are using a Welsh theme, some children will be sent home with Welsh Dance costumes but others are encouraged to wear something Welsh themed/red/St David’s day costumes.

We will be meeting outside Tesco at 11:15 and will walk together to The Grofield to join the carnival.

This event requires parental supervision and once we arrive at Bailey Park, your child will be your responsibility. We ask that parents walk with us during the Carnival to ensure easy handover at Bailey Park.

The PTFA will be running an end of term sweet shop outside of the bike sheds after school today!

We will be accepting cash and cards, but please bring small change!

🎪 Summer fete 🎪

Don’t forget that our summer fete is today!

We will be accepting cash and card payments, you will need to purchase tickets to play the games if you need to pay by card.

Please bring cash if you wish to use the bouncy castle as this is an outside vendor.

We have some fabulous raffle prizes on offer too! First prize is a family glamping bed and breakfast stay in west wales! ⛺️ 🤩

🌈End of Term Party and Summer fete. 🌈

On Tuesday 16th of July the children will be treated to an end of term party, supported by the PTFA, in school time. The PTFA have arranged a visit from the ice cream van for the party- they will be alternatives available for those who do not like ice cream/allergies. If you would prefer your child NOT to receive an ice cream please let the office know by 15/7/24.

Following the party everyone is invited to join us for our summer fete. Children will be dismissed via the hall before entering the fete at the upper phase gate. All children must be supervised by an adult in order to attend the fete.

We also need volunteers and raffle prizes! If you can help with either of these please message us! 🙏🏻
