Soooo you know I love me some good clean skincare but when I heard from a client that I could increase the benefits using micro needles I was curious/creeped out. ⁣

I honestly didn’t even know dermarolling was a “thing”. ⁣
⁣
If you have been watching my stories then you know I’ve been trying the dermaroller from for a few weeks now and I’m loving the results. ⁣

Our beach day yesterday was soooo relaxing! I honestly haven’t seen him sooo chill in a long time. I think a combination of the auditory input from the waves 🌊 and tactile input of the sand calmed him. ⁣

I know I’ve been MIA lately and I’m going to explain the radio silence. I took a deep dive down the rabbit hole and I’m shook. ⁣

I’ve always been outspoken and known to share “conspiracy theories” since the inception of myspace. For those of you who don’t know me I was raised in a conservative Muslim household in the San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up listening to Free Speech radio (KPFA) 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗡𝗣𝗥 but publicly funded radio without corporate sponsors. This has helped shape my reality. ⁣

I’ve been afraid to speak for years because of my fears. Fear of losing friends, family, sponsorships, fear of being hated for my opinions, fear of not getting a job, fear of losing business and clients and fear of retaliation from those who work in the darkness. ⁣

As a Muslim I was taught to believe that there is nothing to fear but Allah. I have not been living like a Muslim I have been living in fear of everything that the media has planted in my mind. I no longer subscribe to the belief that there is anything to fear in this life not even God. ⁣

As a mother and a mandated reporter I cannot allow fear to continue to guide my actions. ⁣
⁣
2020 has been a year of unlearning for the masses. It’s been uncomfortable, frustrating and stressful. A lot of this unlearning started with the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter Movement. For me this has continued on in the realm of other narratives about missing children in this country. ⁣

Children all over the world are being enslaved and the mainstream media is not talking about it. Hollywood is definitely not talking about it. We need to question this. ⁣

Why is a narrative a separation being blasted into our televisions and phones? ⁣
⁣
Why is the global issue of child s*x trafficking being ignored? ⁣
⁣
Why are people who speak up about this issue on social media being censored while p**o accounts are left untouched? ⁣

Prior to COVID-19 I was hustling at my 9 to 5 and when I was laid off I realized how important it is to have multiple streams of income. Since March I have been consistently growing my business while educating others on health disparities and their effects on BIPOC. ⁣

Beautycounter has forced me to get on live videos, speak to people I was afraid to speak to, address negative stories and mindset issues. It has not been comfortable but the growth has been real. ⁣
