Been with this cutie for 12 years now! Happy 8th wedding anniversary honey! Let's keep choosing each other. Bittersweet Kitchen was born before we met, but you have been it's biggest fan and such a source of encouragement. As Matt always says, the professionals just enjoy straight out of the jar!
Thank you for an amazing outdoor dining experience. The food and Champagne were top notch! Loved the chilled ginger and carrot soup.
Food has always been my love language! I've always believed a good cook is like a sorceress who dispenses happiness.

Fresh produce season is upon us. I'm finally growing my own herbs and lettuce (after a year of trial and failure) 😉, but when I take produce home from the store, I always wash in a vinegar spray to remove potential bacteria and pesticides.
It's so easy to make your own fruit and vegetable wash. Just add 1 part distilled white vinegar to three parts water in a spray bottle. Wa-lah.
Trail running always reboots me! are incredible.
What do you do when you need a fresh start or need some rejuvenation?

Wishing you and yours a healthy and slowed paced weekend.
I'm loving my basic granola lately. It's so easy! We typically just eat this with milk and berries. It's also amazing over ice cream with a drizzle of . Just sayin'!
RECIPE
6 C. Old-fashion oats
1.5 tsp. Cinnamon
3/4 tsp. Salt
4 Tbsp. Coconut oil
2/3 C. Honey
Mix oats, cinnamon and salt in a bowl. Put coconut oil in a glass measuring cup measure and melt in microwave. Add coconut oil into oats and mix. Measure honey (in already greased measuring cup - so it will slide out) and pour it into bowl of oats and mix.
Pour into a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees. Cook for 20 minutes (stirring every 7 minutes). The longer you bake the browner and crunchier the granola will get. (Cooking time is a bit subjective).
Our is unbelievable on chocolate ice cream and brownies!

What are you making for dinner tonight?
I think quinoa bowls are beautiful and delicious. I boil the quinoa in bone broth and top with whatever fresh veggies I have on hand. I love adding feta cheese, avocado, chickpeas or hummus, and topping with cilantro or parsley.
