The issues with the Orlando server should be resolved now. We are monitoring it further to ensure the issue does not reoccur.

Additionally we have recently started to offer our services in a few new locations and we will be reaching out to some of you regarding migration of your accounts to a different server location for faster loading speed.

The server upgrades are completed about 6 hours back. Because a new server's IP address is involved, some time may be required for what is known as "DNS Propagation" for the websites to properly load. If you encounter difficulties in loading your website properly, try refreshing it and/or clearing your browser's cache. If this still doesn't work, drop us an email or open up a new ticket!

We were transferring data from the previous server to a newly upgraded server, so this may result in some data being "lost" if you updated the websites in between the transfer duration - we can always copy the data over again which will bring the data back. If you noticed your websites' data is missing a few hours of data, let us know! We can restore it for you.

Some upgrades are being carried out at the moment. If your website is not resolving properly, do not be alarmed. Please open a ticket to let us know though.

IMPT: This morning at 10AM EST we will be rebooting Mocha. This reboot is required to ensure that all Linux (the server OS) services are using a patched code. We had to apply an update due to a recent critical vulnerability found in the Linux GNU C library.

Just a follow up to my last post ~6 hours ago, I'm done tinkering and tweaking and everything should be good to go for the Holiday season.
Mocha 1.0 was already a little over 2 years old and she was definitely due for an upgrade in hardware. I know going through an upgrade period kinda sucks but I assure you it's for the benefit of you and your websites. We want to continue providing you with quality hosting services and in order to do that, we have to upgrade our hardware/software from time to time.

The upgrade is now complete. It took longer than expected and I apologize for that. We did run in to some issues early on that set us behind schedule but the restore of all data to the new drives was successful. Your sites are now powered by dual Hexa-core Processors with Hyper-threading, RAID10 (makes for faster reads/writes), 24GB Memory. :)

The server upgrade is still in progress.

This email looks like it is from cPanel because the sent from address looks legit, however, it is being spoofed.

I am working on Mocha right now. You guys shouldn't notice anything but if you do, it's just me. :)

The datacenter our servers are located in will be performing more network maintenance during the times specified within this update. They will be upgrading the core of their network and replacing all hardware with updated equipment. Because of these upgrades and hardware replacements, you may experience site inaccessibility or high latency when visiting your site during these times, hopefully no more than 25 minutes during each 8 hour period.

I apologize in advance for any inconvenience, however, in the end we will all benefit from an improved network infrastructure. :)

Just a warning to everyone now that tax time is around the corner. A lot of malicious e-mails are going around claiming to contain Important Bank Documents, IRS Tax Return information, Early Tax Return Reports, Overdue Invoices, etc. ALL of these e-mails contain a ZIP file that they request you download... DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE. These files generally contain malicious programs that install themselves to your computer and have keyloggers that steal your passwords, personal information, banking information, etc as you type them to buy something online, log in to sensitive accounts, or pay bills. The possibilities are endless on what these programs can do. Never download attachments that you're not expecting from someone or from unfamiliar e-mail addresses.

It's a chilly day here in Central Florida. That Polar Vortex finally swept through bringing us in to cold temps! It was 29°F at my house this morning!

Don't forget there is a network maintenance tonight at 8pm eastern affecting sites on the server MOCHA. A network switch is being replaced and thus sites will be inaccessible.

NETWORK MAINTENANCE ALERT: Affecting MOCHA. On January 3, 2014 at 8:00PM there will be a network maintenance taking place within the datacenter. They will be upgrading the switch that the server Mocha is attached to. This will result in inaccessibility (downtime) to the server. I've been notified that the estimated downtime is between 25 and 45 minutes. **Please plan accordingly for this inaccessibility.** During this time the server will not actually be offline.. it will just not be connected to the internet.
