Promoted by Lucy Smith on behalf of Christian Wakeford both at 11 Deansgate Radcliffe. M26 2SH
Wonderful to see Christian Wakeford in Besses today!
Enjoyed meeting volunteers from St Andrews Church, Hillock, Whitefield Children's Breakfast club and Food Pantry.
The summer breakfast club is on in the church 10-11am every week day until 23rd August.
Good chat with Rev Steph Mawhinney from St Andrews and Emma Needham from Onward about how the club is funded by the Church with Onward Housing providing funding for additional activities.
This is such a great help for families over the summer holidays, It provides children with an opportunity for play and to be with their friends, as well as supporting families with the extra costs over the period.
Many thanks to Jackie Smith, Rev Steph Mawhinney, Robina Jones, Donna Webb, Emma Needham and Mary Whitby and in Food Pantry - Maureen Hunter, Fran Lawson. And in Charity shop - Angela and Karen.
Brilliant to join Louise Haigh MP today as the Passenger Railway Services (Public Ownership) Bill goes to the House for its second reading.
✅ Public ownership
✅ Improved services
✅ Better value for money

Absolutely wonderful to see our member of Parliament sworn in yesterday - a huge effort by members and volunteers culminating in this moment.
Well done Christian Wakeford we’re looking forward to seeing you represent the constituency in Parliament.
We wish all of our Muslim residents a blissful and peaceful Hijri Islamic New Year.
The date marks the beginning of a new year in the Islamic calendar and coincides with the journey of the prophet Mohammed and his followers from Mecca to Medina, known as the Hijrah.
Umar ibn Al-Khattab, a close companion of Prophet Muhammad adopted Hijrah as the reference point for the Islamic calendar, either in 638 CE or 639 CE.
Happy New Year
Big thank you to Louise Ellman and The Jewish Labour Movement for turning out to help in Prestwich! 🌹🗳️
Let’s do this. 🌹🗳️
Please remember photo ID when going to place your vote at the polling station!
Half way through - thousands of people spoken to, thanks to some incredibly hard working volunteers! 🌹
Absolutely brilliant turnout today to campaign in Radcliffe for Christian Wakeford - great to be joined by Andy Burnham and Bury Council Leader Eamonn O’Brien.
So many positive conversations, ready for the change this country needs 🌹
We’re all tuned into the leaders debate tonight to see Sir Keir Starmer show the nation why a Labour government is the only way forwards 🌹
A brilliant team - lots of conversations ahead of us on the doors and streets of Bury South.
A Labour government will get the country back on its feet 🌹
🌹Amazing turnout today as I launched my campaign in Bury South to remain as your Member of Parliament.
🇬🇧I will be fighting for every vote. The country feels broken and needs change. A Labour government will be that change.
And so it begins!
Let’s do this 🌹👏
Great to see so many members and volunteers out this evening speaking to people across Bury South! 🌹

Bury South was well represented as the votes were counted and result announced for the Greater Manchester Mayoral election.
Andy Burnham won every single ward in Bury by a landslide - a hard working Labour mayor rewarded & re-elected to keep up the work he’s been doing in GM. 🌹
Still a lots of work for us to do in Radcliffe but we’re incredibly grateful for the continued support - a HUGE well done to our candidates Rhyse & Sally, in particular Josh in Radcliffe West.
It is sad to see the level of abuse young people receive in politics but josh was polite and took the moral high ground throughout the campaign - we are very proud of him.
Overall Labour held its position as the largest party in the Borough and gained a previously safe Tory seat with Andy Burnham winning every ward by a landslide! 🌹
In the next few years Radcliffe will be a completely different town, that includes its politics.
A HUGE congratulations to these wonderful three ladies! 🌹
Our newly elected Cllr Miriam Rahimov for Besses, our re-elected Cllr Liz Fitzgerald for Pilky Park and our newly elected Cllr Jodie Hook for Unsworth!
And of course a massive congratulation to Cllr Imran Rizvi on his re-election to Holyrood - the hard work to make Bury South a better place continues 👏
