From Food Connoisseurs to Co-Founders: The Story Behind 'Dum Handi'

Introducing our founders, Ankit Tandon, a corporate lawyer and Rajat Taluja, a foodpreneur who were brought together by their mutual love for food to conceptualise ‘Pataka Indian’. Sometime in 2020, both of them felt that there was a need to provide authentic North Indian delicacies through a state-of-the-art cloud kitchen in Panipat. But then Covid hit and the idea got delayed. However, in May 2022, they launched ‘Dum Handi’, a brand that offers food which is not only exceptionally flavoursome but is also made using the highest quality ingredients including fresh local produce.
From the innovative packaging to the use of traditional cooking methods, every little detail has been taken care of to provide the most satisfactory gastronomical experience. While Ankit’s family is rooted in Lucknow, Rajat hails from a typical Punjabi family and their culinary heritage reflects in the wide array of scrumptious dishes offered by 'Dum Handi'. Kebabs, biryanis, curries and more, a world of palate-pleasing food awaits!
