We are a very small, seasonal Bonsai retailer. Our current focus is the Olympic Peninsula area.
Trees become available every spring and training/assistance is by request.
π we'll be back in business in another year or so. Our little man is almost ready for backyard play without constant supervision. π

The Japanese have been producing wood for 700 years without cutting down trees. In the 14th century, the extraordinary daisugi technique was born in Japan. Indeed, the daisugi provide that these trees will be planted for future generations and not be cut down but pruned as if they were giant bonsai trees; by applying this technique to cedars, the wood that can be obtained is uniform, straight and without knots, practically perfect for construction. A pruning as a rule of art that allows the tree to grow and germinate while using its wood, without ever cutting it down.
Extraordinary technique.(Quote from Mary Conceicao Coelho)
We've got our first good plum harvest from our Thundercloud bonsai trees! Those who have already purchased trees from this batch of seedlings should be getting edible plums this year or next year.π₯°π₯°π₯°

We probably won't get to sell many trees this year since we're adjusting to having a family of 3 now π but I just had to share.... the plums are bearing fruit this year!πππ
Just a reminder that if you need to trim roots on deciduous trees, now is the time frame just before the leaves open. If they are open already then don't do it, just try to airiate the soil to allow water and air to reach the thick mesh of roots and try to catch the window next year. There is a video on the page that shows how it is done and feel free to ask questions if needed.
Even though these trees are no longer available. It is still enjoyable to observe their creation and beauty.
Whimsical progress on this King Edward Currant. So in love with this one already that we might not be able to part with it. We will start others and get a good inventory of them going now that we see how well it does.πππ
Pruned, shaped and potted a Blue Rug Juniper today. Photos don't quite do it justice but this species really lends itself to the cascading style and is quite fun to work with. Should be listed for sale next spring.π
Repotting Dwarf Alberta Spruce today.

Have you ever seen an Oak leaf this size?! Not great for bonsai, but at least I can tell I am doing something right.
Good morning all! Just something to think about. As it begins to warm up it may be required to move your bonsai into areas that receive more shade. Depending on your pot size and the amount of foliage, the high drainage soil may not be able to stay moist enough. It can be a challenge, but do your best to find a location that does not dry it too quickly. Take care!
Last year's little Hinoki Cypress is potted and ready to go to a new home soon.π
We've got a lot of work ahead π³
Maples from an air layer rescue before being pulled from a driveway and chestnut saplings from just sprouting seeds we found at a park this February.π fun stuff to play with and free!
