Venice beach has always been one of the most important places in the world to me. My first CD cover was taken there, I would drive out to Venice with my friends when I only had my permit and sell my CDs on the strand (when you could still get $15/piece) and spend the money buying w**d from the vagrants before it was legalized, I celebrated many New Year’s Days on that beach soaking in the winter sunshine, Venice is where I really started to figure out who I am. Getting to perform at the iconic lighting was a highlight of my year and full circle moment that will live rent free in my mind forever. What was a highlight of your 2023?

December 16th 2022 I went into Abbey Road studio to record all of the music I was going to release in 2023 after my February single “Angela.” I was coming off a year of successful releases, a viral song and my first big European tour. After getting the music back in January, it just wasn’t what I’d hoped for but I’d blown all my money for releases and put so much energy into my plan. I felt completely defeated. The only thing I liked from that day was the photo in the same crosswalk on Abbey Road that the Beatles had stood in that I was going to use for the vinyl, so here it is. I pivoted and spent 2023 really figuring out who I am as an artist, meeting my fans around the world, getting to know myself and my audience to figure out what I wanted moving forward so I didn’t waste anymore time and money. 2023 has been a major learning experience and I feel truly confident in what’s coming in 2024. Be ready for a lot of new music, some you’ve never heard before and more shows on the road. My next stop is Chicago January 11/12!
